My first nightclub was Pips at 15 , don't know how on earth I got in as entry was 18 . Loved Placement7 , did Jilly's Tiffanys The Ritz which is still going 😀 my favourite was Rotters , massive sprung dance floor with two side dance floors , also went to a few clubs around Stockport area , do you remember the PocaPoca.?

Does anybody remember the Picador and XJ6 clubs in Mcr in the 70s? Both were a bit sleazy I gather...

Think you went down stairs to get in plenty of trouble just after pubs closing was ok preferred Pappas Newton st was a doorman there.plus the mini club old post office buildings. Well gone now.the paramount club Piccadilly near the approach. John Rooney

With them big old jugs of beer! !!was only a kid when it died it's death but went in a few times. Good place to get a good few drinks down ya cheap n cheap fully in town.

i remember quite a few of these!........ i was a regular at the millionaires Club on a weekend with my mate Anne, and sometimes we went to The Ritz, until we heard it was called the GRAB-A-GRANNY night, there! lol ...great memories though! (.psst!...i WAS only 17 at the time though, and still shouldn,t have been allowed in!! )
