Great to learn a little more about you. No way are you a failed musician. You really did quite well. You should pick it up again since you love music so much. Thanks for your energy and honesty Scot, whenever I want to learn more about Prog, I always come here, Sea of Tranq, or Prog Archives. Between the three resources I usually can get a pretty good consensus. Your self-deprecation is funny at times, but don't sell yourself short, you light up many a person's day and you have plenty of knowledge! There are tons of failed rock stars out there, just like a million people played college sports or whatever and didn't turn "pro" - that's reality. You are putting that knowledge and experience to work in other ways.

Hey Scot, maybe 90% of people who try and make it in music don't make it - and most of those that do don't get rich and megastar famous from it. At least your Disorderly Conduct album's on the discerning person's buying site Discogs, for good money too. Nearly all of the 100 copies expensively pressed of my psychedelic college band' Gonoflard's album were thankfully destroyed - mostly by the band members!

And I agree about Transatlantic they transformed the genre I have seen them four times each one better than the other spectacular band. Neal Morse ditto though I have seen him maybe ten times starting with Spocks through his solo then the NMB and of course Flying colors three times he is my modern musical hero.
