can we just talk about how you're doing such an AMAZING job in this video, even though you're always saying you're not sure if you're doing a great job. leora, you do! all these books sound so interesting and how you talk about them, I immediately want to read all of them and learn more about feminism and all the other topics you talk about. thanks so much for this

Thank you for this video. There's something so empowering about women hyping up feminist literature, and it's not seen enough online!

I have been wanting to read Invisible Women for such a long time. It's a book about statistics and data bias in the world and how it impacts safety protocols and design in tech and accessibility and stuff like that. I hope to get to it this year. I've also wanted to read more books by Latinx women (because I'm Mexican) and I honestly don't read from my own people often enough. There's just not a lot of latinx sci-fi and high fantasy out there (and those are my favorite genres), much less written originally in Spanish.

Oooh yes! It’s on my list, but ive heard some mixed things on it

You would love Rage Becomes Her by Soraya Chemaly, it’s my favorite feminist non fiction so far because the writing is amazing and she never repeats herself, and manages to talk about so many subjects without it feeling overwhelming

I loved Wordslut! Montell's other book Cultish was just as fabulous. She's so witty and her writing is so fun to read. Would definitely recommend some Bell Hooks on here and "Men Who Hate Women" by Laura Bayes (although this one is HEAVY and quite the difficult read).

How can you be a man and be invested in feminism without being pretentious about it? Seems to me like the difference of not being an arse and being a people pleaser.
