I was 9 years old when this movie released in 1989. It was amazing period in the Hindi film industry. Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff were at the top. All three Khans had just arrived or were about to arrive. It was the peak of what you know today as "Masala" genre. During 1988-91, so many Masala blockbusters were released....Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, Saudagar, Hum, Tridev, Beta, Kishan Kanhaiya, Mohra, Phool aur Kaante and many others. I'm not counting MPK, QSQT, Parinda, 100 Days, Aashiqui etc from the same era in this list because they were not Masala in that sense. You should devote a month for such flicks in that period...maybe following three - Tezaab, Ram Lakhan and Parinda...all these Anil Kapoor-Madhuri Dixit movies.

Subhash Ghai produced the wonderful movie *Iqbal* (2005) with Naseeruddin Shah, Girish Karnad, Shreyas Talpade and Shweta Prasad that I would highly recommend. I’m not a fan of Ghai’s directorial ventures at all to say the least, but I do love that he produced this beautiful little gem of a film. 💙 Also, Anil Kapoor produced a wonderful movie titled *Gandhi My Father* (2007) that Atul Kulkarni talked about during the wonderful conversation you had recently. Also highly recommend that movie. 😊
