Hey Lana! Just a quick question, I always see people saying that we should only use a wide tooth comb to detangle wet curly hair, so how does the tangle teezer differ from that or regular brushes? Also how would you compare it to a wet brush? I personally would prefer to use a tangle teeter or wet brush, I just always thought it was a big no-no to use anything other than a comb! Thanks!!
@paolahernandez67335 жыл бұрын
As long as you're not using a tiny comb to detangle your hair, you're all good.
@Kopano45665 жыл бұрын
Lana usually uses a wet detangler from Tangle Teezer when her hair is still wet and she uses a normal Tangle Teezer or her fingers to detangle when her hair is dry

In my country (asia) people dont normallh have hot water. We boil water and mix it with the tap water(which is cold) so by the time we finish, the rest of the water is cold enough not just for the hair but for the skin to close your porse. My mom used to say hot showers opens up your porse to clean deeply but cold water closes them back so you all the cleaning is not wasted. So i believe that works for the gair as well.

So you had mentioned that you only do this routine once a week, therefore I would like to ask, how do you keep the style in your hair throughout the week? How do you keep it to where you don't need to detangle it for the next 7 days? I find myself so exhausted with caring for my hair because I feel like I have to wet it and brush through it EVERY DAY. Any advice?

when i turned 13 in 2019 my hair started transitioning into curly/wavy hair (neither one of my parents have curly hair) but i didn't know what to do so i would just brush it everyday. In January of this year i decided to learn about my hair type. i started buying stuff for curly/wavy hair and stopped brushing it while it was dry. My hair is 2c right now but while it was transitioning it was 2a/2b and i wanted it to be 3b (my older brother has that type and i'm lowkey jealous) so i would buy and do stuff specifically for that hair type. My hair wouldn't look it's best because it wasn't for my type of hair. The past 2/3 months of my hair journey i started treating it like 2c hair. It's looked SO much better! It's been about 6 months since the start of my curly/wavy hair journey and I am now 14. I still have a lot to learn but i'm glad i came to terms with my natural wave pattern. Just accept how your hair is naturally and don't try and make it something that it's not. Trust me, you'll be so much happier.
@ssandiaa6 жыл бұрын
currently on my transitioning phase. My hair keeps getting healthier and healthier every time I shower my hair with sulfate and silicon free products. I always dyed my hair and never cut it to the point where the split ends are just horrendous. And I used products that were damaging it. And I never had volume on the top of my head because I always had this natural part that makes it more flat on top. Recently I tried to change it. I'm am still trying new products and seeing what is good for my hair. Right now I changed my routine (for experiments) so far I found my go-to gel product (devacurl light defining gel) It makes my hair very soft and everything. I cut my hair recently too and those split ends were weighing down my hair so it added some volume. My hair thats on my scalp hates me though. Like I could be walking around for a few and it would be frizzy and it does not look nice. I'm just still changing and I'm on a journey to 100% virgin hair and healthy.

@leviackerman36225 жыл бұрын
The shampoo on only the scalb really helped me because when i used to wash my whole hair with shampoo the ends of the hair would get super dry and crispy and i had to cut it off cuz i thought i was just my hair drying out w split ends .Now my hair is healthier.

What do you do on the days when you don't wash your because I'm really struggling. When i don't wash /wet my hair it is just frizzy Plz help x

Not to sure if this will help but i spray water on my hair from a bottle so my hair looks bouncy and not flat after sleeping on it. If you use products such as styling products the day before with water in. Spraying or wetting the hair slightly will awaken the products. Hope this helps. :) I'm new to this too its so confusing.

I wet my curls and put leave in on coz my hair is dry and if it needs it a little bit of styler on top. u only need a small amount so u don't get build up. not as much as wen u washed it.

In regards to your comments about not putting conditioner too high up-- what do you recommend for people who get really tangly close to the roots? I've always applied conditioner all the way up because I get super bad tangling high up in my hair (rather than the ends)

ok i have lots of questions: i have curly hair, but i’m white so my texture and thickness is very different than yours, it gets tangly but def not as tangly as yours. it’s really hard for me not to shower every day because the only way i can style my hair everyday without it being frizzy and gross is to shower every day but i don’t shampoo my hair every day. i know im not supposed to wash my hair everyday but idk how else to really style it everyday without it being really frizzy

kirsten couly look for curly girl method videos. You will find information about different types of curls ( 2a,B,c/3 a B c etc) and textures (low porosity, high porosity). It will help you find the right products for your hair

Get a good leave in conditioner. The top best brands for curly hair I would say is Carol's daughter, Shea moisture, and Camilla rose. Maui I heard is good, but I don't know if they have a leave-in conditioner. You should also look up the loc method, which helps with keeping moisture in your hair.

Do you put your deep conditioner near or on your scalp?
@kay455 жыл бұрын
Paige Ford i wouldn’t put it directly on your scalp but if you put on a plastic cap the product will make its way to the top layer of your head but won’t Saturate it like the ends of your hair that you smoothed the product directly on. that way it’s getting moisturized but also won’t build up on your scalp.
