Navy seps December 2017 to January 2018 There were about 150 Females in my compartment from all over the country, different upbringing and point of views. Somehow we all figured out how to keep the peace and just make it a through together. That experience was gruesome to go through because while you’re there, sometimes you don’t know what you’ll do when you get out. I knew girls who would purposefully get in trouble to stay in seps longer because they had no where to go when they get out. It was the most important learning experience of my life. I got out and went to college. I will never regret going to the navy. It was a great eye opener for me. For those of you who were separated, remember that you had the courage to even go and use that courage to go be great at something else.

I was recently just realized from Alpha Seps about 2 days ago. It was hell being there there were dicks here. Staff was crazy disrespectful and my experience was pretty much a prison. The Navy keeps in ship 05 to be kept away from the other divisions and doesn’t want you outside on Fridays because parents are there for graduations they make us walk around the back to go to chow and they have a sick call in the Ship so you would have to really leave. Your locked in a compartment with almost 200 other sailors who don’t care at the point and it hurts the sailors that would love to finish bootcamp like myself. Walking to chow other divisions would do the Grenade throw or RTC would yell Failures. It was really hell for being there and it messes with your mind a lot. They do have jobs and you do get Tv but besides that it’s you and others just thinking. People are in there for reasons like mental, physical, or just because they don’t want to be. It’s not something anyone talks about at all and I respect this guy for coming on here and making a video about it. It was a horrible experience for me and it made me not wanna go back to the Navy and I was Medical for a heart pain. Even tho I was doing great and healthy the next day the doctors just wanted you out. Coming home is weird and it doesn’t feel the same that you know you entered with a purpose that others knew about and now your home early. I’m back and I don’t feel as if I belong quite yet. People are telling me to go back or join another service but at the moment I don’t want too. No disrespect to those that do go back I’m happy you guys did and I hope you pass and serve this country. I just don’t want anyone to go through what I and others have went through. Great Video man!

I feel for you my roommate at NTC across the street was in SEPs for 13 months then they moved him to the NTC side and moved into our barracks. He fought his case & won to stay in by the time everything was settled he had been in 27 months. He refused to extend his contract so they just kept him there. Guy spent 4 years in the navy stuck in Great Lakes and his job was to literally work at facilities & be the base bitch. Was in Seps October 22nd til November 6th 2019. My first week of seps went by decently fast. Days were slow weeks were fast it seemed, but the day before Halloween, they told us the computers system that they used to separate us went down and everything is delayed by 2 weeks and the people that already had their dates no longer had them so we thought we all got screwed and they had to open up the C compartment. We only used it for a few days (5 days) cause somehow I guess the computer system came back and we got our departure lists back. It was awesome, we had 93 people leave on the first departure date in 6 days. It was definitely an experience that I’ll hopefully forget. Seal Team Seps Hoo Yah

this sounds way better then it is now, i was separated in 2022 September 10th in Alpha seps (waaaay worse than bravo), we dont have to wear NWU's we wear our sweats, we can shower anytime of the day, except after taps, no one has to go to early chow, we get tvs, cards, board games. it gets pretty loud, ppl fight steal, some ppl have been SA'ed, and it can take months to actually leave and go home, it took me a month and a half, some ppl were there for 6 months or longer (if u get into any serious trouble they delay ur departure) u can buy stuff from online and have shipped there, such as books, comics, board games, things like that. chow was disgusting for a while we got nothing but brown bags with gross soggy sandwiches, but that was cuz a senior chief closed it down for previous bad behavior, which was later reported and opened back up (they werent allowed to close it down), we had UDC's most were super chill and would even play board games with us, one guy would bring his own tv in and let us watch stuff like anime or newer tv shows, sports etc, but most of the time it was just DVD's we watched on repeat, some UDC's were assholes and made everyone sit and stare at wall LITERALLY ALL DAY, we can stay up after taps and quietly talk or some ppl snuck into the laundry to hang out or ....."Hang out" if u get what i mean. we had downstairs room, i forgot what it was called but it was for ppl that need some quiet time or needed someone to talk to privately kinda like therapy room. Indoc briefs take longer for ppl to get to now, some ppl wait two to three weeks for indoc brief depending on the reason they were separated, I injured both of my legs, my indoc brief took about a week. what does suck tho is the lounge is no longer a thing, its been closed down, no ones gets to go to the lounge anymore, and legal takes even longer to get to. the arcade games stuff are no longer a thing, wee just go to chapel and come right back , no gets to go down to lounge and we still have to wear uniform of the day no matter what, at the nex we dont get any snacks or anything just make a phone call buy hygiene stuff and we leave whenever a actually division in training comes in, so we could be there for 10-20 mins very rarely any longer. most of the privilege's such as the lounge was taken away due to ppl previously breaking rules and causing problems like sneaking out, doing what u said in the vid (impersonating a petty officer) using the phones un supervised and when not allowed to, ppl got violent more, ppl got loud more, ppl always had contraband... some ppl were REALLY good at hiding it tho so only like 3 to 5 ppl would get caught out of like 30 to 40 ppl that had contraband but the UDC'S pretty much knew ppl had contraband but just didn't know who, ppl stole things from other ppl or walk over to Bravo and steal things or vice versa causing even more problems. so yeah my experience in seps was WaaaaaaY WORSE, some ppl that were they for so long we considering/attempting suicide. seps for me was literally like prison, a family member of mine did time in prison and when i explained to them my experience they said it sounded a lot like prison. just glad i made it through tho.

It was gradual i noticed day after day he would get more and more agitated. Another guy sleep walked. Got got but the RDC said they would give him 1 more chance. He did it again and got seped. there is 2 types of people those that really wanted to be there get through boot camp and serve. And those that realize they fucked up by joining. I feel bad for those that really wanted it. If i got sepped for whatever reason i dont know what i would of done. Probably wouldnt still be here. They are granted on a case-by-case basis. An RE-4 reenlistment code simply means that a BUPERS waiver is required prior to approving an enlistment to join the SELRES. Waivers may be obtained by submitting a request to PERS-913 via the Navy Reserve Recruiting Command.

Fuck nooo, we were getting secured like 2x a week for dumb shit. People putting ride pods in boots and shit when they were departing. The only good part was recruit heaven and lounge, and half the time the vending machines at the lounge were empty. Working party's were a bitch, field day was a bitch, fucking chow was a bitch. Ohh yea, and fuck tow line.

I was a female in Navy Seps, that shit sucked ass. They took away a lot of our shit (like the sewing kit) because girls were putting the needles in each other's pillows and filling up they girls water bottle that they didn't like with toilet water. They were mean as shit basically. Thank god I was only there a week or two or I would have gone fucking bonkers

I was a week away from graduation but freedom hall tech fucked me by 30+ seconds twice. It was horrible, I ran so fast to beat the timer that I ended up getting injured. It was too dangerous for me to continue. It felt like alien was bursting from my chest. I couldn’t bang out 3 pushups without feeling like I had to go back to medical. Hell I was in top shape before. I spent 37 days in seps which was bullshit because medical seperations were to be sent home in two weeks. All the druggies and quitters were being sent home quick. Every week there were 7 people being sent home. I waited week after week. That place was a circus. 95% of the people in seps were quitters. Maybe a handful of the people were actually fucked over by the navy. When captain Garrick was being replaced by Captain Thors, that’s when 20+ people were being sent home per week

Hi, my name is Karina my bf left 3 weeks ago, he got medically separated because when they ran blood test he had G6DP. They gave him the choice to either come back or stay in seps. He decides to come back. I'm really trying to change his mind and tell him to stay. I don't want him to give up on this. This was his dream. I feel like when he comes back he will feel very down... I need advice for him can he change his mind? Can he try to fight this and try to get back into boot camp without having to come back?
@jordinkolman7 жыл бұрын
Just let him know that you support his decision either way but that you really think he will regret it if he doesn’t stay. He can fight his case if he hasn’t already gone to legal but if he’s been there more than a week he’s probably gone to legal
@chalexdallas47096 жыл бұрын

Kari Guevara just let him make the Decision he wants, he may have changed his mind about this stuff, I know I did when I got out of seps, never want to go back to any of it, seps has tarnished my dream of being in the military, just give him time and help him out with what he wants to do with his life now.

can anyone tell me if someone with anxiety/panic can be separated and discharged directly from the psychiatric section of the navy hospital on base, once stabilized? or do they need to be in ship 5 for a while? I'm asking because the person is triggered to have a panic/anxiety attack from ship 5
@jordinkolman6 жыл бұрын
The only way out of the navy during boot camp is through ship 5. If the issue continues they will likely keep them at the hospital until they leave. I have heard the new captain is processing people out of ship 5 faster now so that may help
@agentallstar75 жыл бұрын
Jordin Kolman from direct experience you can be discharged from hospital but you have to go back to seps to get in Van with others .You wait there not very long in my experience but they treat you like scum while they got u back.I came back not cleanly shaven and a petty officer lost his mind and there was some back and forth arguing between the guy who brought me who was actually pretty cool.I wasn't given permission to come aboard until I shaved.So they fetched a used razor from somewhere and i used a a half empty water bottle to rip my face up with prison razor but did it gleefully with my papers in hand.After what I went through there I was just ready to go.From seps the van with 2 navy personnel drove us to the train which we took to downtown and got on a Greyhound.When those of us got on the bus they still reminded us we were on their time and to be quiet.I remember when we got out we all felt like it was some kind of dream..like all of a sudden you are free.Someone bought half a pack of smokes from some random guy for 20$ and shared them with me and a couple others.That long bus ride home gives you a lot of time to think about what all went wrong.I Talked to a lot of people and there were so many different reasons and personalities.Its frankly shameful how many potential good Sailors they throw out with Draconian policies.

How did you join with scoliosis what route did you take and did you need a waiver Jordin?

I was recently separated from navy due to PFA failure because I couldn’t pass my run and got the separation code RE-8. I was told it is a easy good to get waived, and I can come back. Do you know how accurate this is , and I’f this is true?

I found this video and it reminds me of when I was separated back in 1989 due to medical reasons. Back then they sent all women to Orlando and yeah I looked for things to do. I was restricted from doing the galley but otherwise volunteered for many things. I wish I had been able to go to Great Lakes as it's about an hour and 20 minutes away and I could have had my parents pick me up. Someone asked me if I tried to re enlist and doubt I could have being I have arthritis. It hasn't affected my life really and rarely talked about it until a few years ago I started explaining.
