Such an adorbale family. They both seem resourceful and hard working. I think wife will do well adjusting with her husbands help. To those saying she to get a job. She has a baby to watch and obviosuly dont have enough money to pay daycare to watch child. Also she cant speak language. I'd be alittle pissed a tmy husband too but she also got out there and got stuff for baby despite language barrier. Later she showed support for him during his singing gig.

I love this show never get tired of it, only wish others would support this show you learn so much as well as being entertained. Another great episode, but not a follower of trot music. We all can learn a lot from this man who suffered a traumatic beating, but he didn't allow this awful experience tarnish his spirit and his love for Korea. Another person would have been bitter and angry, this shouldn't have happen to this man. For the offenders your not even human, but there are bad people in every group. I always cheer for the underdog, so my wish for this family is they succeed in the near future.

I watch this, then at the end of the show, they invited Eva. And there's this one critical thinking in my head, "where did I saw this girl (Eva)?". I refresh all my memories, maybe my long lost friend look similar like her, but I cant recall it. Till the MC (beside HSC) called Eva name, me be like, "OUHH THIS EVA". Eva in Super Junior Full House in early 2006 I guess. After so long time, I managed to watch her on Korean TV again. Wow. I am excited watching her in this Ep. Its remind me of SJ debut era back back then. Hehe. Well, I repeat SJ Full House more than 10times already during my studies. AHAHAHAHA. Suddenly I miss SJ OT13+2 . Ouh I am not an Elf but I love Super Junior, SM Town to be exact ♥ include INFINITE. hehehe. Praying for Sunggyu to get better soon ♥

True, but wouldn't you be? Like you've literally just arrived into a foreign country with your baby and your husband hasn't even bothered to buy the very basic things that are needed, especially knowing he will have to be away from home for many hours due to work. Fortunately, she picked up the language quickly and managed to remember everything he taught her in such a short period of time. Hopefully it's a sign she will adapt quickly and well to SK. She will need to learn the language first and pick up some skills. Once the kid is a bit older she may need to find work. He seems like a nice enough person, but has poor planning and organisational skills could prove problematic. Having said that, he hadn't really spent much time with his wife and child up to that point due to being in Korea. So he would need to adjust to the demands of fatherhood and ensure the needs of his family are met. I can see them doing well but they both need to be patient and willing to work hard to support their young family.

@thecrimsondragon9744 Жыл бұрын
Not at all. Apart from the part where she genuinely is (understandably) angry about not having milk or diapers for the kid. Bengali is considered a very 'soft', flowing language with few harsh sounds; there's actually a video on it on KZbin. Also, not sure why some people think there's no concept of manners in South Asian languages. There definitely is.

his story is breaking my heart. If they want to settle down in Korea, wife should work too. i feel so bad for him when i see how hard he's working by doing all kind of manual jobs. Very risky and insecure situation... what if he gets ill, they will be thrown into the street. So to support their life, they should work together at the same time

I rolled my eyes when the british lady was trying to talk about not fitting in. Your situation is nothing like Bang daehan's. White people are admired in Korea. Brown skin is not. Bang has a real fear of being kicked, spat at, discriminated against. You don't.
@peko74468 жыл бұрын
visible minority will always be visible minority to the eyes of locals no matter your nationality. Since you can't change your skin color nor ethnicity, you can only adjust how you react in the face of discrimination or slights so you won't get beaten down by anger and hopelessness. I wish for Daehan's wife to adapt well to her new life in Korea and that Daehan will get a more stable paying job. I'm not too concerned about the baby as she will easily pick up the Korean language and culture by exposure.

Basically, his wife has to learn that to survive in SK and to achieve her dream of living in a grand house in luxury she'll have to get a job and pull her weight too. She kind of put me off when she said she expected to be living in a grand house which she sees in K-dramas as soon as she landed in SK. LOOOOL It's a typical thought process of some people coming from that part of the world, they think money will fall from the sky freely for them as soon as they go abroad but the reality is you have to work hard for everything. My extended family back home think like this too. -_- She has time to study some Korean while Shanilla is growing up and getting to the stage where she can go to school. Once she's is in school his wife should get a part time job.
@jeb2847 жыл бұрын

Ikr, when she said "I was expecting a big house like we see in the K-dramas" i was like... Well... Living in Korea is nothing like what you see in dramas
@sabahy25795 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the translations were way off when the wife saw their living accommodation for the first time. She didn’t compare or even mention about houses depicted in Kdramas. She just said that she was already expecting to be living in a small place and wasn’t expecting anything grandiose. She seems very sweet and loving towards her husband.
@thecrimsondragon9744 Жыл бұрын
TBH, that was a complete mistranslation of what she was saying. Either the interpreter or the editors have done it (I've noticed it in a few past episodes too where comments point out incorrect and misleading translations). Presumably, they wanted to portray her as spoilt, entitled and whiney, and as you mention she comes from 'that part of the world' further reinforcing negative stereotypes. But in fact, she made no reference whatsoever to K-dramas (I highly doubt she even watched any upto that point). Furthermore, she wasn't even complaining but basically doing the opposite. How she is happy to stay in a small, simple place in a beautiful way. It's clear she didn't have any high expectations. Very disappointed with the translation and editing. I will be more vigilant in the future for this sort of thing. A few mistranslations can completely alter one's view of the participants on the show.

This guy, Dae-han, is the complete opposite of Mario, the sluggard from Mexico. It's like the difference between day and night. His wife, on the other hand, is a complete wreck and nightmare -- the female equivalent of Mario. (It's a wonder that Dae-han didn't just one day off himself due to her constant and continuous nagging, bitching, and whining.)
