We celebrate Epiphany when the Three Kings followed the star to the stable, on the 6th January here in the UK. What a lovely idea that the children bring the stickers to each house.

Yes, it's even a public holiday in the area where Joerg comes from. We love that they bless the house, before Covid they even used chalk to write it above the door but the stickers have made things easier and it lasts better.

We had this also at our mum's home. It looks lovely, but can be dangerous. I remember when i was a child, the tree burnt down and my grandpa had to put out the fire :-)) But i think here in Northern Europe is it still common to have real candles on the tree.

Aw this is such a sweet family time with your very handsome and fun nephew! Brought all the Christmas cheer back and loved the car ride and shopping especially at the little shop along the road. I must say your nephew sure keeps a clean place and very well fit out. Loved the church bells ringing we used to have that in so many of our towns and cities years ago but people complained about them. So sad.

Very handsome nephew...I am in USA and nothing wrong with eating sauerkraut...I try to have some everyday for gut health..it is so good to keep tummy issues away...I grom my cabbges and make my own sauerkraut...so beneficial to your health...I remember my first trip ti Germany I could not wait to have the German kraut...it is very good...I lived in Germany for 9 years with US army...Germans all around me ate a lot of kraut and cabbages....and sausages...
