@@HumansLiveForMoments This channel has roughly a $400 - $500 a month operating cost. I'm just trying to make it where doing KZbin doesn’t cost me $ which it currently does. The financial goal is to make $2,000 -$3,000 per month. Here are the stats for the last couple of months… August (ongoing) $136.28 July $330.09 June $158.63 May $235.47 As you can see I'm no where even close to coving the operating expenses let alone my goal of 2-3k so I'm trying other ways:). I’m not to worried about it as this is primarily for fun, and it would be great if I was at least able to cover my expenses. Hope this gives you some insight.

If you want to live like a rich bastard in the Philippines, away from the dogs, roosters, traffic noise (motorcycles) in a gated community, a normal sized place, party a bit, and travel freely, with spare cash for hospitals, and a Filipina, I wouldn't attempt it on less than $3500 (USD) a month. Then, you can relax, hire transportation and live like a King. If you are on a $2000 pension, you'll do ok, but don't expect more than the basics (western standards) You will be expected to help support uour Filipina's family. That's a whole nuther story... Don't get me wrong, finding the right Filipina can change your life. The people in the Philippines are the best!

Nice! Ya know what I was thinking, I will probably end up with a similar pad but don't want to buy two aircons, so I was thinking of buying a cheap like mylar duct hose. Imagine the duct hose that comes out of the back of a clothes dryer, just larger like a foot or two across. Something that hangs from the ceiling and when I leave my bedroom I could just swivel it over in front of the AC and clip it there, that way I could redirect the air to the living room. Real simple, just directing the cold air out of the bedroom to another room. Just an idea. 🤷♂

Hahaha Well you need to look on the other side of the Air conditioner the side closest to the door because there is a huge air gap I can see daylight coming around your air conditioner It's probably that way on the top and on the other side and if you use like duct tape and just tape around from the wall to the air conditioner all the way around you will find it will keep the room much much cooler LOL or figure out something to close the air gap because all you're doing is bringing hot air in with your air conditioner. Just an FYI. It really will help a lot. It won't take but a minute to do it 😀 great apartment for the price yay ! Greetings from Olympia WA USA 👋

@@1100_Rebels_PH If you live in the deepest province and you count mostly Filipinos as your friends I agree. In this case it's a must as the countryside people get "nose-bleed" when they have to talk English. For the rest I deeply disagree. Look around - What do the foreigners that are proudly trying to communicate in Tagalog have in common? Mostly low-end people, surviving on very little money. Wealthy Filipinos don't take them serious. To sum it up - the location where you live dictates whether you should learn it. And yes you will make every Filipino smile if you know a few words Tagalog.

My husband says the myth about better health care in the USA is preposterous now. We pay so little that it isn't even worth filing the insurance reimbursement for many things. The "care" in the USA is not anywhere near as good as we treat our pigs. The hospitals and doctors in the USA are agents of big pharma and the government. They proved they would rather kill people than treat them correctly during covid. In the Philippines you would think you are royalty. We are treated so much better. Maybe 25 years ago the major heart operations were something to be concerned about. My mother had aortic aneurysm repair and is doing just fine. She has Phil Health. The cost was zero.

Hi Kool vid. Wanted to comment. Why expats so quick to play house, pay for pinays expenses and shack up so fast?? Do they think that's what's supposed to happen?? It's setting a precedent that pinays expect and expats adhere to. Get to know your surroundings meet people. Just very concerning as a man who would like to travel to S East Asia. But again great vid

Well, "shaking up" with a young college girl who is pursuing a real career path and paying $100/ month after set up doesn't sound too bad, but that's just my humble opinion. At least he is not like the jokers I see buying land, building a castle, and then the Queen says, "Off with his head!" We all see daily stories of some Jack ass losing his whole retirement. I think this minimalist approach is quite wise.

@@HumansLiveForMoments Vinnie brings up a good point but so do you and I'll answer your questions too Why expats so quick to play house, pay for pinays expenses and shack up so fast?? Do they think that's what's supposed to happen?? • Yes. The good girls aren’t into casual. If you want to rent a girl, they don’t have those expectations but it’s all about $ and emotionless and I’m just not into that. To each their own. I also find the short-term dating experience exhausting and you open yourself up to so many issues. I’d much rather find a good girl and get to know her. Just because there are millions of great women here to date doesn’t mean I need to try to date them all. So many men get lost in the dating here. • The place has multiple purposes A place for Mary Rose to be that’s safe & comfortable for her. She can focus on her education and complete her last year of college. Also, it’s a place for her and her friends to study together. Especially while I’m traveling. A place for me to be while I’m traveling around Leyte • “Get to know your surroundings meet people.” I agree wholeheartedly. I’ve lived in the Philippines going on two years now. The first 6 months I was here I didn’t date at all and did exactly what you’re suggesting. Look, this is how I’m doing it which doesn’t mean how you or anyone else should. It just what works for me and may not work for you or anyone else really. I do go back to Vinnie’s comment. It’s just a cost effective, smart move and everybody wins. I do appreciate your comment and thought Vinnie's comment was pretty much nail on the head.

@@justaguy-69 Everything changes. It would be sad if PH was still at the level of 30 years ago. Do you think that your favorite country got no changes? What changes irritate you, that you prefer Laos or Cambodia, both countries with a stiff communist history? I live here since 1992 and saw the changes. PH is not as poor as it was before. People here are not as submissive to foreigners as these like them to be. You are expected to adapt to them and not vice versa, if you want to live here. This has changed for sure. I don't find this irritating.

@@1100_Rebels_PH the vloggers earning money off of doing it as a side job here has become so rampant that they are now giving only 2 month extension on tourist visas instead of 6, and interviewing people to see if they are doing this, thats hard on those who have been here with wives and kids for a long time and liked to do balikbayan trips to vacation every few years, you are not allowed to work here earning money on a tourist visa, thats taking advantage. also there are a lot of foreigners doing things to push up prices and some are very negative in their videos as well. it was just nicer when foreigners were rare to see and it made it special to interact with filipinos . everyone has their own take on it and opinion but i liked it better before. and i'm scared it will get worse if the place keeps getting so many newcomers.
