I bought one of these two months ago, and it’s honestly I say the perfect city vehicle, plenty of space and with the rear seats folded down, you could fit an adult mountain bike fully assembled inside!

Theresa Taylor I also have the four-cylinder Escape and it’s actually very good on gas. It usually takes me about 2 1/2 or so weeks until I have to put gas in it.

Very nice model. I test drove an '08 Limited Escape yesterday. Was a little underwhelmed from the 3.0L V6. Thought it would push harder. It had leather seats. And in corners I felt like I'm sliding around in the seat a little. But overall a really nice ride.

I traded mine in with only having to fix two items on it the entire time I had it. The fan speed blower resistor and a leaking driver side front axle seal. This was a fantastic car and as long as you can find one that was taken care of over the years, I highly recommend it.

I've had this car since 2012, ~130K mi now. Took it on a monthly 8 hr trip w/ husband, 2 kids in booster seats, a dog crate holding 2 maltipoos and luggage. Everything fit! It was recently crashed into and now looking for a replacement vehicle. Loved this little SUV. The new version doesn't have all that extra space on the back 😕

+morphanok69 As much as I would've like to have the V6 AWD model, I was looking to save a little more in gas in the long run. Compared to the Grand Prix's V6, this has greatly improved my fuel economy.

Actually the Escape's V6 with 240hp is not bad on gas. Needs only a later more than the 4 cylinder.

i UNDERSTAND THE 6-SPEED TRANSMISSION HAD A DEFECT THAT CAUSED IT TO LEAK - DO YOU KNOW ABOUT IT?

The driver side half shaft seal gets weak because of a poorly machined half shaft. Mine started to do it but I caught it in time. You can order a kit with an improved half shaft and the seals to go with it. I made a video about it.

I decided to trade it in this past July because of another vehicle interest. I can say that this Escape has so far been the best car I ever purchased. Nearly 3 years problem free. I had to replace the fan speed regulator and the front driver side axle seal. That’s it.

I used 2 have a 2011 escape limited and I can tell u it was way better than yours due that yours does not have full equipment (sun roof, leather seats, all comands on the stering wheel, heated and electric front seats, stock LED interior lights, stock LED headlights, stock reverse LED lights, proximty sensors,front and rear USB port, stock SONY 15 speakers Sound sistem thats all the features I can remember right now) and mine was equiped whit the 3.0 v6 FlexFuel engine of course it was 4wd
