Hi Chris, Great video. I like being able to add pouches to the outside of a pack, lets you have easy access to important things. Your fire kit give away is a real neat way to have one. Does it work like this, it gets sent around and each person adds something to it and sends it to the next? Great concept indeed! That was one odd looking rabbit sitting next to you! +Chris Collier LOL my good friend. Yes thats cyclone the brown rabbit dog! Yes the fire kit works just like that with everyone who adds items also gives me a name to put in the hat. This way it is like everyones GAW and I'm just organizing it. I thought this would be good to bring everyone together and for someone who doesn't have a kit yet. I would like to add an item from you that you have already sent me if thats ok with you? I will make a video on your behalf. I will need a name from you on who you think would be a good recipient for the kit. They have to be able to make videos as everyone would like to see the kit out to the very end. Good video. Just subscribed. My favorite pack. I put the sustainment pouches on the side instead of canteen pouch. Had to use gear ties on front side. But it works good

You were correct that is an Army specific pack, and the pattern is ACU, I served in BDUs and then Marine Corps digitals in the Corps and then in the Army I wore BDUs then had to switch to ACU and I think ACU is the ugliest pattern ever invented. Those old alligator clips suck, they either jam or get too loose if used too much, not sustainable without replacing, so not INCH sustainable. Haha thats not "Vietnam era", thats the stuff from the 80s and 90s we used until the new post 9-11 gear came out. Until we got the the new post 9-11 gear we were even using some stuff from the 80s in the Corps, it was a bit rediculous but I joined January 2001 so I was too boot to understand that. THE ALICE PACK IS A LEGEND! The Alice pack was in service from the Vietnam war to the early 2000s, almost half a century with only slight variation. I have alot of different packs but I got a soft spot for the ALICE pack, I think most vets do.
