For filtration i would suggest getting a 55 gallon drum and fill it with lava rock half way and mechanical filtration the other half. easy amd very efficient

I love this idea 😍 and the design of the pool pond for turtles is the best idea , but consider a half land half water will be a little difficult 😅..

Just water may be more practical & feasible(considering strength of material). Little sand also maybe ok. But the front transparent part makes it very interesting to watch/observe fish. All the best for the setup & looking forward to next part. Tori looks like "fish out of water". May be you pressurize her about not touching the tanks or not feeding fish etc.
