Nice! I just got an '18 ZL1 last month...in Red Hot (manual transmission). I don't like the dive planes of the 1LE and I prefer the suspension of the ZL1, so the only thing that was lacking on my ZL1 in my mind was the black tail lights and the carbon fiber wing...so I just had them added last week. I'm not as tall as you, so I got a sunroof (which you can't get with the 1LE package). I also added a black gas cap with a carbon fiber insert. Now it's everything I want and nothing I don't between the two packages! I may post a video soon. Enjoy!

So glad I grew up during the first supercar era! The late ‘60s and early ‘70s muscle cars could be afforded by blue collar folks like me in the printing industry, and we had tons of fun with them. Nice to know about 650 hp cars of today, but they’re for a completely different class of people. BB

I want this car * - * I love the aggressive look. It is so awesome. BUT: - It is not allowed in germany, cause dirty gas output. Whe have many zones where you need a green environmental sticker - I just drive 30 km to work, without higways - I dont need so much horsepower. I just want a normal car, that looks very cool. Less Hp is cheaper to. :P

Nice car bro I just picked up a 2017 Daytona charger 392 with 485hp stock and love it I did try the ss but found the side windows to small and too many blind spots but do love the cars...2nd I'm 49 and my car makes me feel 19 again and I can hear it in ya voice they do the same to you :)....peace..

I'm on the same boat. I'm in the process to trade in my 2008 ISF for a new ZL1 manual. If it all goes well, I hope to get the ZL1 by this week. If not, it looks like I'll be keeping the ISF for a bit longer.

Do the black accents on the car (grill, side rockers, etc.) have flake in them (i.e. is it the mosaic black color)? Or is there no flake (just black)? Trying to figure out if the accents are standard across all colors or not... it's hard to tell unless the sun hits it at the right angle... want a black zl1, but trying to figure out if the black color would have mosaic black accents on it or not...

Beautiful car and I really like color! You are 6'5" and you have enough head room wearing a helmet? I test drove a 2017 SS Camaro. The deal breaker for me was this, at 5'10" I could not get comfortable with the seat pushed all the way back and reclined as much as it would go. I'm going to visit my Chevy dealer and sit in a 2018 Camaro to see if it fits.

mogana20, I visited a local Chevy dealer and checked out a Camaro 2SS. After adjusting the seat properly I was comfortable and I had enough head room. I took it for a test drive. Nice car! I decided on a 2018 Camaro ZL1. I think the Recaro seats provide even more head room. I'm comfortable and really enjoying the car.

There's absolutely no difference in room from the 2017-2018 2SS and ZL1 Recaros or not. The only thing that takes a hit with head room is if you get the sunroof which I have at 6'2 and still have plenty head room. So unless you post a video I'm skeptical you own a ZL1.

Well, I do have a sunroof in my 2018 ZL1. It feels more spacious to me than the SS Camaro , but that is entirely subjective. I have not taken any measurements to compare.

Mitch Fotes test drive the Shelby GT350 and was underwhelmed. It's sounds amazing and he manual tranny is fun but there's no power and torque relative. I also felt the seats in the Shelby were not comfortable

Agreed. That was my impression as well. Although I did like the exhaust sound of the shelby better than the ZL1. If I end up getting a ZL1 I would want to change out to a full headers to tail pipe system.

Oh yes, I can relate to the instant mod wan't strategy. I've had the SR 240's, Lexus IS and currently modified G37S for the sports car fix all built from stock. The wife and I have been going back and forth between the GT350 and 6sp ZL1 for over a year now. Test drove each one many times. Wife loves the looks and sound of the GT350 while we love the real world power of the ZL1 while giving us everything we want for the track.
