Those are some good key areas to upgrade... I love the idea of the bike I do love the display and headlight but having the controller above the rear wheel in a lap that might work but real world conditions it's going to mud dirt rocks everything tossed up there. Maybe I'll take a 2nd look at the next generation model but this bike as is even with them good upgrades I don't see it standing up to my daily ride. I have a sur ron LBX and a few other bikes but my sur ron LBX gets the most road time I use it to get back forth from work only 15miles there and back and get around town with it. But my area has a ton of bad roads unavoidable potholes that stretch the length of the road tons of gravel or broken up asphalt crazy hills that have steps on the sidewalks they so steep. It's a ruff commute on a bike especially all year around. I had a Honda pcx 150 scooter and I broke the frame just from my daily ride to work and back. I'm only 200lbs 5'10 so not me it's the roads. I also like to stunt a little wheelies stoppies maybe cut across the medium pop up and off said walks. My Honda isn't the only bike this commute has killed Phatmoto rover 2019 version Genesis DH mountain bike Icebear mojo Q6 scooter trike And a few Walmart bikes so far the sur ron has held up the best 5k miles and still going. It should also be noted that I am a skilled builder I do regular maintenance and upgrade all essentials on all my bikes titanium nuts and bolts for example higher end pegs chains tires rims tubes I go all out on tubes flats are a real issue or were not so much anymore. If you guys want to put that bike to a REAL test send it to me if it last 6mths than you did your job great 👍

I like your new E-bike/Electric Motorcycle. It seems to have everything required to register it. If it were mine, I hate being restricted, I would register & insure so you can go anywhere. You being in California would probably require a motorcycle drivers license. I like your BmX footage but personally I prefer seeing you on the Surron or this Solar Eclipse.👍👍🤙👊‼️

You need to check out the Raev Bullet GT-X when it comes out, I got the Bullet Pro, which will be like it's lil brother, but still smokes Super 73's, & almost 1/2 the price!

Here's part of the reply from a conversation I've been having with Solar customer support. Seems like the production version will be even better! The bike has been upgraded from parts, quality and overall specifications. The bike has a new more powerful 400a controller for better torque and top speed, a new quieter chain, new foot pegs and grips, the bike shutting off was for a very small number of bikes which has been rectified. There is also a first on any electric bike a dedicated regen brake, the regen brake is not activated using the handbrake but has its own dedicated thumb control. This vastly improves braking and highly benefits the battery to be charged when using. Plus saves your brake pads. The app which controls the performance, sport or eco mode, as well as torque settings have all been updated also, the iPhone app is currently in the works and will be ready in a couple of months, the android app is ready. With the app you would only need to change settings if you want to increase torque and top speed. The E-Clipse version 2 will not disappoint.

Look at a professional cycling race in Europe, the guys crash with there carbon fibre bikes and they split in two. You just can’t repair carbon fibre and these made in China, good luck

Seems to be more designed toward street use. Sounds awful offroad, but on the street I oddly enjoyed the sound of the motor whine. The motor sits to low for tech woods or enduro. The cockpit is racked toward the rider, good on road but is awkward for MX. The carbon frame is to delicate for tech woods or enduro. Way better for the road where weight directly impacts speed and youll likely not dump it as much. Its way to fast for walking trail but is right at home lane splitting in LA. They throw cheap offroad tires on it to appeals to the broader market. But deep down they know poeple will throw some supermoto tires on and have a pretty sweet street machine. If you're a canyon rider, stunter, urban riding, or commuter, this bike is pretty attractive for its price point.

You would think it's meant for off road use however if you take a look at the owners manual it says not to take it off road and to not ride aggressively and no jumping. Everyone who has reviewed this bike has had that same, "power just died on me", issue. I really want this bike, but that's extremely offputting. Just imagine being in traffic, and the bike just shuts off on you.

Good thing these are review models. Could be a short (hopefully that's not the case). Potential power cut due to a bad sensor reading. Bad dead zone in the throttle or even it's own sensor/potentiometer. There are various things that could be the reason behind it. I'd love for them to make a blog post or something explaining what *that* issue is and how they plan on resolving it before it's launch. I'm currently contemplating on building my own as I have a 72v, 3000w kit at home or diving into a pre-built bike. The only big thing holding me back is having to map out and design my own battery. 🤔

This would be a good road bike but i wouldnt get it if you plan to off road. You void your warranty if you jump it or do "extreme riding". This was originally a denzel samurai but solar purchased the bike design. The controller comes with the power turned down some sso go in the app and crank it up to full power itll be much faster.

Very efficient design. Motor in swing arm. Less travel to sprocket. Weight is everything in ev.! More speed , more range. I’d like to see a belt drive. The bike is capable of much more performance with easy mods. Not like the 6k you’ll need to mod a Suron.

Dope bike awesome video. Iwas dead set on getting this bike as it was the only 72v bike that i knew of. Then i heard about the ultra bee until i saw the price. I was going to pull the trigger then i came across the talaria sting R. it was 1500$ less but 60v. I hoped on reddit and realized theirs a huge aftermarket community for these things. Long story short i pulled the trigger on the sting R and purchased a EBMX X9000 and will be getting the chibattery 72v 57ah In a few months. One reason i was leaning towards the talaria is this is not designed for off roading. It says in the manual not to jump it or do hard riding. I do mainly street riding but i want to be able to go off road and hit some jumps. I also liked the form factor of the talaria(smaller). Every review ive seen of this has been great. Im sure its amazing but didnt fit what i want. I currently have a 72v bronco xtreme 11 beast scooter. so I plan to do a race between the 2. Anyways keep up the good content.

Very nice bike. I only see one possible problem. That motor needs protection due to its location. They need a rock guard or the motor will likely get wrecked if it hits anything solid.

The motor is encased inside that waterproof metal casing, the bike also ships with a bash guard should you want to fit one.

My Ultra bee will this week for myself. I can’t wait. I got it basically the same way you got yours. Saved some money! know your thoughts on what do you think of those two bikes compared to the solar eclipse you just reviewed. Something about the solar eclipse I just don’t like specially when you can’t take the battery out easy and you’re out real fast and a few other things, I just like to know your thought comparing the three. The handling , charging times and the speed , suspension bike and battery life again I would really appreciate your opinions. Thank you so much for your help. By the way I saw read your review on the Rawrr and I have been dealing with Edwin From Rawrr, which is a video shows you got the bike .That company is awesome they have been nothing but helpful.
