For me, if I'm buying a doll secondhand and the doll's ears are pierced from the AG store it adds value in my eyes. It's like a nice little incentive for me to get her because I like most of my dolls to have some added sparkle.

You should definitely pierce her ears. Folks with straight hair are great with pierced ears (it seems that curly hair is always wrapping around the studs). I don’t think piercing her ears will devalue her.

I bought #80 and saw her opened on a FB group and had to get her. I was not disappointed and I too want to pierce her ears. So I would love it if you showed us how. I ended up putting in about 4 different orders over the sale. My kids and GD's saw what I purchased and wanted Evette also. So 3 more of them came this way. Then a few of the colored hair dolls on sale, so about 6 dolls, 3 for me and I am about to go to the Orlando store to pick up a duplicate of #80 and to look again at Kavi before she is gone. Not sure on that one. That jacket came here with all 3 of the 4 orders and I put on the jacket just as you do with the zip undone. I went to the Orlando store and was able to get the skirt and shrug and pants with the sequined top. I also purchased 3 different limited edition dolls. I had to have a FAO as it brought back memories of shopping there with my children, one Disney reflective of living near Orlando Disney World, and the Silver Splendor looked so much prettier in person she landed on my door step also. Used rewards for all of that. My friends all thought I was nuts, but really I had sooo much fun. That shopping was a blast and so easy. I have not had so much fun in a long time. With the prices I paid I felt as though I robbed the bank and I am able to sew and knit for the dolls! Phew that was alot, so sorry. Thank you!

80 is a retired doll. AG’s end of the year sale was an excuse to get rid of the old stock. When the latest TM dolls came out 100-123, all the folks before 100 were retired except the Street Chic and hairless dolls.

I think they're going to have one fairly similar to 80 in the upcoming release, at least. I'm kinda hoping the final 3 days of the sale will have further slashed prices. I kinda want a 2nd TM80!

I didn't think they'd be in frame 🤣 I have my signed dolls turned around backwards to keep the sunlight off them (otherwise they fade). I gotta put them in storage until I can get them in a uv-free doll room. But for now, they're very creepily going head to head with my Molly crew 🤣

I have AGTM #80 she is so BEAUTIFUL. I got her because I think she is a dark version of me. I also got the AGTM #109 and I made them twins. I got all my AGD’s ears pierced and some are not evenly pierced. I didn’t get her on sale but I got six AGD’s.

I think if the ear piercing is done well, it's no issue. but upon examining a couple of my secondhand girls with pierced ears, it's not always done well, and that is an issue. I can't speak on whether my dolls ears were done at the AG salon or not but I'm guessing they were.... on two dolls, the piercings are very misaligned. I realized my Luciana's ears were done so poorly, there's a hole behind one of her ears! If I brought my doll to the salon and that happened... i would feel owed a new head. I've had #80 on my wishlist for years, and i've told myself that if she's still in stock when I wake up today (it's 6 am and I've yet to sleep lmao) she's coming home. We'll see... this video is a good showcase of how gorgeous she is! The bow jacket is in my cart as well. This sale has been sooo dangerous!!

I bought her last week and am patiently awaiting her arrival. Her hair is not textured! WTH. That is one of the reasons I bought her, so that is very disappointing.😕. She still looks totally beautiful though and I’m sure I will love her when I get her. I love the pink glittery jacket, bow and all. I think alot of people didn’t like it because it was a different pink than all the other pieces it was released with especially the pants that so AG choose to style them with. I ❤it on its own and will not pair it with other pieces from that collection so I’m happy with it. It will go with many many other pieces from my collection. It did look cute with what you put with it but I personally dislike any and all animal prints so for me it’s a no :). Enjoy your new girl💕💕

Huh, I just got TM 80 from the sale and I was SO excited for her but when I unboxed her I unfortunately got one with decal looking plastic down turned eyes and I’m so sad because I don’t know what to do, mine is a textured hair variant which is great though. Your 80 has a beautiful face that I thought I would receive as well lol I guess it’s a monkeys paw with her you either get a perfect face and untextured hair or disgusting down turned eyes and the perfect textured wig ✌️🤧

Now that you are getting more interested in Truly me dolls, I would love for you to compare truly me same number but different meet outfits. I think every time they change the meet outfit, they tweak the face mold. My favorite is the lilac dress and the skirt/boots that came before the lilac dress. This one you have is my least favorite. I have 2 but will not buy another. I would love to know if any one else sees these changes. It's not the outfit it is the face changes #57 is a good example.

They definitely teak the molds as they go which can be so frustrating since the changes aren't always for the better! I'm hoping I like the upcoming new TM meet outfits better than what we've gotten lately. Everyone's been hoping for something better!

Please let me know if this was your experience. But I got a 1990s Josefina with a very textured wig and my other one was a first edition with a very straight wig. With this TM doll, I bought TM 80 when she first came out the 1st week at the store she was available and my doll has very "textured" hair...no wave at all. I was so surprised when yours looked as if the wig wasn't textured😮 Now I feel like I may need a 2nd TM 80 doll if not for the difference in the wig.

I think they changed her somewhere along the way! I believe she was released when they were doing the "bad" eyes, so I think there are a couple variations. I saw somewhere in the comments on this video that someone ordered a TM80 during the sale and they got a textured hair / bad eye one! So I guess they just have random stock. I LOOOOVE the version I have, despite originally wishing for textured hair. I might get a 2nd one in hopes of getting a textured hair version. But if I end up with an exact copy of what I have already, I would still be happy. I bet you could call American Girl and see if they could make sure you get the wavy hair version. I think you'll love her!

@@idreamofjonny That is a great suggestion about calling the company for the latest. My doll definitely has the eye issue, but I'm okay with it. I remember when AG had bad wigged dolls with bald spots and the company would be fine with those errors...like a so what attitude. I guess they just thought they wouldn't lose money or customers, boy were they wrong. This was just before the permanent underwear issue went viral. Now, I just wait for the video reviews before purchase.😄
