Beautiful fish. Always a hassle to feed fish that are scared tp come forward... Maybe make a ring with some tubing again and add a batch of floating plants to give some cover from above? Or even tie a stem of Limnophila to the filter-outlet and just let it float and branch out (works in my shrimp tank). My two remaining Ember tetras are way more in the open since I added the Cherry barbs a while ago. The Pygmy Corys are still skittish (if I see them at all) and it will be a surprise to see how many are left when I redo the tank (but not for several months at least).

@@frankvermeulen4621 He will come out in the open a lot more as soon as I add some Corydoras in the next video. His colours are amazing hopefully I am able to catch him on camera. Yeah Embers can be a little skittish. Whenever I had them with more active fish they would be more in the open. If they are alone they would hide all day long. Cheers Frank

Hi 😊 I absolutely love my green neon tetras and I plan to add an apisto (borellii opal) to their tank in the near future but first I added dither fish to make sure nobody would be overly shy: 3 male endlers. They add a nice dynamic to the tank and being all males they can't reproduce. Perhaps you could try something similar too and give your hongsloi a sense that it is safe to come in the open because endlers are already there, chasing each others endlessly? 😊

Aquarium lights can be expensive but for a small aquarium you only need a simple and cheap LED. Cheers
