Mark Lugg yeah hands down! Soon as i pulled it up i went “whoah!” Before even tweaking. So after a little tweaking its just nuts man. Great tones in the video brotha!

@@LaminarSound That's one thing I love about the Helix over all the other units I've owned over the years. The stock sounds are pretty damn good, and rarely need much tweaking to get them just right.

The internal cab sounds a bit smoother, and for me in the studio, it may lay better. But I can see how the IR would be better live! Great patch!

Richie thanks so much for this share! Line 6 should anoint you king quality contributor.WILL TRY THIS!!! I play in a cover band (think: weddings/casinos etc.) and require crazy versatility. Helix really fits the bill at being chameleon-like, but I'm still not happy with my cut on crunch-tones. U recommend any extra settings on digital P.A. board in addition to preset? Lastly, big disappoint on clean models in Helix. They all seem to breakup too soon and output ends up being very low because you have to keep preamp volume so low. (E.g. All sound like Brian Setzer, but some of us want to sound like Nile Rogers or Chuck Loeb at times.) If you ever contemplate a workaround, I will pay! LOL

Love your Helix patches & how you explain everything. I just got the Helix LT & just not sure if I'm digging it man. I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio with the 490R/498T pickup set & an ESP MII with EMG's 81/85. Can't really get a great sound like your getting at all but I haven't messed with IRs yet although this patch with the XXL cab was nice. Any advice on levels or anything I might need to be doing for the Gibson??

I usually use the playcater but lately switched over to the soldano model. I real wish L6 would add the EVH amp but knowing how they work they will add 2 new amps every 6 months.

You can always crank up the presence on the preset if you like treble. I don’t like a lot of treble.
