@@InappropriateReefer Eee, thanks for the reply! Yeah, I'm going to try experimenting with some fast growing plants to see if they survive in the 60's. I heard water sprite, wisteria, Amazon swords, anubias, vallisneria, java ferns, aponogetons, cabomba, Brazilian pennywort, etc. will work in cold water aquariums, so hoping to give some of them a try. :)

I think it's great that you're keeping some FW tanks and you seem to be more comfortable with setting up planted tanks, now. It adds a bit of variety from always being the same topic every week. Just like your travel vids are. I'm actually thinking of starting a vivarium with the native tree frogs here - tree frogs and then the native fish (killiefish) - in the bottom . Anyways I wanted to say great job scaping that tank. Looks really nice and the floating plants are a nice final touch.

I definitely added the White Cloud & plants for interest as well.. the shrimps mainly to pick up the missed fish food or poop (as well as snacks). I'm trying to see if this combo works; I had 5 Ember Tetras in the original Axolotl tank and 2 of them lasted half a year. How long did your Neons last?

It looks like you have put a lot of research work and effort into your tanks they are absolutely beautiful! I would like to let you know of 2 things one axolotls shouldn’t be held with any other aquatic animal aside from other axolotls not only because of water temps but because axolotls will eat them and fish might peck at Gills or hands or tail and second I would like to say you shouldn’t keep snails with axolotls because there is a chance of the snail eating the skin coating on an axolotl And they tend to produce more waste than algae they eat which could cause the ammonia levels to rise which lead the axolotl to health issues love your content i mean all of this with no disrespect you have a very lovely tank and pets

I just gotta say god bless you for keeping fish with them I’ve wanted to for so long but have heard all the info against doing so. And also I love them in planted tanks it looks so much more natural! If you continue having trouble with plants being uprooted then just use fishing line or floss to tie some plants to driftwood! It’ll really look nice on the driftwood and the axies won’t be able to uproot them! Good luck!

You might want to get rid of the fish just because they can damage gills by nipping at them and they could get stuck in gills and the axolotls might eat the fish
