For the plants on the wall, they could be starting to die if they're getting too much water. Since they don't have a drainage hole in the pot, sometimes the water can sit there and basically drown the plant! I would try letting them dry up a bit more, and maybe only water once the dirt feels really dry (better to water less than overwater!) :) Plants are actually really easy for the procrastinators (since I'm totally one myself LOL). Sometimes I won't water my plants for like 3 weeks and they're totally fine (winter-time, I water even less LOL) Hope that helps!!

Most of my plants need water every 3-4 days so it really depends on the plants! I can’t personally be a procrastinator with my plants haha But I love those who need extra love. Depending on the kind she has, it might be a lil too far from the windows.. She could put plant light (usually blue/pink) on the seeling tho if needed!

I was wondering if the ones on the walls weren't doing so well because they aren't getting direct sunlight. Plant food, sunlight (for the ones that need it) and some water can work miracles. I had a plant that went from pretty much dead to 7' long in no time at all with minimal work. It was nuts. I had to hang it from the ceiling and let the "arms hand down then loop back up so they could hand down some more and not just sit in a heap on the floor. lol

The plants are probably dying because the pots don't have a drainage hole! When you water them, the water needs to be drained! You can still rescue them.

Kathleen!! For the plants, get a moisture meter to check the soil, or if you don't feel like getting one you can stick your finger into the soil 2 inches down. If it's dry 2 inches down, then water; if it's wet or damp, you can leave it a few days longer until the soil dries out. Most plants can come back from being underwatered, but overwatering will cause root rot. I don't have any advice on the air plants though, since I've actually killed 30 lmao.

Hey Kathleen some Plant Tips! Make sure you are soaking your air plant in water for a few hours, once or twice a week (if it's glued on there, you can mist it, but the roots will need extra water from time to time). For the plants on your wall, the little cute mister might not be enough (the plant you showed "dying", either has way too little water, or too much). I would recommend getting a cute little watering can you can keep on your desk, and making a schedule for your plants. Every Sunday go and water each one of them (pour for maybe 3 seconds or so). Make sure they aren't getting too much water (can feel the soil), as they won't have proper drainage. Then watch your plants, and see from there, and decide if your plants need to be watered more often or less. Hope these plant tips help!! Your beauty room looks great!!!

I’m a Aquarius also and obsessed with all the elements. I added a electric fireplace to add fire elements to my space. I also like the loud water noise from my water fountain. I take my plants outside too, haha I love the room makeover it’s gorgeous! 💜

Kathleen (I feel like a mom addressing you like this) figure out which kinds of plants you have and look up their lighting and watering needs. I’m going to guess the light from your window is too far away and not bright enough to reach the ones on the wall. Succulents like a lot of light and they like to dry out in between waterings. Air plants are a lot of work for me so I don’t have them but if you water them with the spritzer you have to water them way more often than if you just dunk them in water a few times a week. I would definitely get a water meter that will tell you if the soil is dry so you know when to water your plants (not the air plants though obviously). I would also recommend that you get a grow light. Home Depot sells ones that you can suspend from the ceiling. Basically it’s trial and error and google is your friend. I hope this was helpful. None of plants you said are dead are actually dead. Add some soil. Give them a good shower, outside but in the shade. Then bring them inside once they are dry but the soil is still moist. They will survive a few weeks before needing to be watered again.

For the plants on your wall, you may need a light if they don’t get enough sun. You could even put grow bulbs in a little desk lamp and shine it on them. Just an idea but I love the new setup!

Beautiful room. Luv the different material furnishing sort of an eclectic look. A tip about the plants. Change soil from time to time and use soil that has plant food/fertilizer in it to promote healthy fast growth.

The problem with wall planters like the ones you have is that they have no drainage. This causes the plants roots to rot. You can easily save them and keep them healthy by taking them out of the planters and putting a thin layer of pea gravel into the bottom of the planters. Then put inside each planter a piece of saran wrap with drainage holes punched into the bottom part. Put your dirt and plants right back in on top of the wrap and pea gravels. This will allow your plants to drain their water into the gravel in the bottom and they won't rot. You should only water them about a fourth to half a cup of distilled water once a week. You could also use plants that very rarely need to be watered like small cactus plants or some air plants that never need to be watered. Make sure your plants are planted in indoor planting soil because it is different than the type we use for outdoor plants. It's lighter and has a lot more foam pockets to allow the plants to airate properly. If your plants are drying out too soon you can put in a layer of peatmoss on top of the soil to help hold the moisture inside them.

for your air plants: you need to submerge them in room temperature water for ~30 mins once every 1-2 weeks. don’t soak them more than that but they do need some water. i know some people just spray their air plants but i found that submerging mine kept them the most healthy
