Z3 Cubing, I love doing a checkered pattern by swapping adjacent colors on both sides. For instance blue with white and green and yellow. Unfortunately, you can only do that on every other odd puzzle like the 5x5 and 9x9 and 13x13. You can still do it on the 7x7 and 11x11 but you have to swap red and blue or red and white after because there's an edge parity.

I got the mfjs 13x13 for 120 SGD on offer, which equates to about 90 USD. turns like a dream, really nice and solid shades. edges are not as rounded so it does feel slightly uncomfortable at times, but still a joy to solve.

As an owner of the MFJS 13x13, I would say it’s great for budget.

The MFJS is 2mm^3 bigger than the YuXin. It is also slightly lighter by 8 grams (not much of a difference) and still turns very well. My solve took ~1:48:00. Keep in mind, I’m 10 years old, so this is impressive. Which one you want? Well it depends on (obviously) what you are looking for. If you want a budget friendly speed cube that turns well, get the MFJS. If you are looking for a good quality 13x13 and you are willing to spend an extra $20, then get the YuXin. I mean, if the YuXin 14x14 is the same size as the MFJS 13x13, you know they are really compact. I’m sorry Z3Cubing for this next part. Since I got this from Black Friday sales from Speedcubeshop, it was a lot cheaper at $112. And even now the MFJS 13x13 is a few dollars cheaper. But you should still use thecubicle to get it to get 5% off. But honestly, make sure to check both websites whenever you can so you can get low prices. Hope it helped.

If you turn a cube bigger than a 5x5 by 45 degrees, the outer corners will end up hanging off the rest of the cube in an impossible manner. The best solutions are to pillow the puzzle and make the outer corners/edges thicker than the inner pieces.
