I did 7.2 L/100Km with M5 Competition, 150 km. I was in absolute shock when I saw the trip data. I still have a picture of it. Crazy how fuel efficient M cars are, when driving 100% legal.

In general, modern cars are insanely efficient. I got a S8 Plus to 7.9L/100km too. Its crazy, a 600hp luxury sedan.

This summer I went on a roadtrip with my M4 Comp xDrive from Poland to Italy. 3 people in the car, trunk and 4th seat fully loaded. I cleared the clocks as I left the house. Done 4200km, drove on autobahn in Germany 250km/h+, on the mountain roads, slid the car around a bit. When I got home the car showed 9.5L/100km. The S58 is simply amazing

hey wanted to tell you something, the reason you can t pump fuel immediately after putting in the nozzle is that the pump will first (through that little second hole) pump off remaining fuel gases. as soon as it s finished you can hear the actual fuel pump (for your 98 or 102octane gold) behind you start pumping, before that you won t get a drop ;) cheers nice video, i m looking forward to the e-class! Something else i was thinking about, maybe show the people how important aerodanamics are, get an a-class limousine with the 200d engine and check how fast you could drive to get the same 6.5l on 100km

Nice Video M8 Btw. Do get the engine into sailing mode u need to have in drive & it will shut down completely. The 48v battery will keep the necessary systems running 😉

I am getting 10.9 l/100 in Sydney urban driving in my G87 M2 with around 1000km on the clock. My wife's (old) X1 20i xDrive would struggle to get below 12 l/100 with similar usage.

I have a 320i m54 2.2 and I've averaged 8.5L last 20k kms 😅 90% highway... They're not economical these engines. But also it's a 5 speed manual, plus convertible, it's a very short gearbox for highway, needed 6

Brate, just get a hybrid Lexus man... These tests are impractical, pumping the tyres so high makes the car more slippery on the road, and regular traffic won't let you drive efficiently. If you want fuel efficiency, quasy sporty drive and luxury just get a Lexus...
