I'm pumped about this one! This is my new custom long range rifle chambered in 300 PRC built by Alamo Precision Rifles. It features a McMillan A5 stock, Defiance Ruckus action, Timney 2-stage trigger, 26" MTU profile barrel, KGM R338 suppressor, atlas bipod and a Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36X56 with a Vortex Impact 4000 mounted on top via Vortex rings. Shooting factory Hornady 225gr ELD-Ms in this demonstration. Look out for more content on this bad boy soon!

I got a 300PRC a year ago and love it. I shoot out to 1773 yards with first round hits on a man silhouette at COSSA in Bend Oregon. Outstanding caliber. How is the recoil on the Bergara? I've got the HMR in 6.5 Creedmoor and it's a pussycat. It's easily sub-moa as long as I do my job. I'm looking to replace the 300 Win Mag I foolishly sold to a buddy to finish paying for my Shadow 2. It went to a good home but man I miss it.

@@bmstylee It's more of a poke than a 6.5CM, but manageable. I run a can (OCL Hydrogen L) but a good brake would help tame it. Bergara does it's job at 1500 for me. We have a mile range locally, but I haven't got a chance to stretch it that far yet.

In other words you didn’t watch Mark & Sam. Lighter bullets 300 Winchester Magnum had better performance with lighter bullets than the 300 PRC. However he then had a custom barrel with a slower twist rate made. And then across the board 300 Win Mag was equal or better. Don’t get me wrong. You have an amazing looking rifle. And if you don’t reload. I understand. But over time a lot of these new cartridges die off. But you can all ways rebarrel it. Although for getting views. People want to see something new. And sponsors want you to push new products. So probably makes sense for your channel. Lastly 300 win mag is every where. I enjoy your channel. But if you get into ELR. Where your shooting miles instead of yards. Mark & Sam is a good place to pick up some free advice.

I believe that the 300 prc will be the new 300 wm in about 20 years. As the younger generation buy their new 300 mag caliber more and more will get the more accurate from the factory 300 prc cambering. Many are right if you have a 300 wm then there is no point to get a 300 prc but if you are buying your first 300 mag, then the choice is clear that there no reason to fight with the slack in the 300 wm cambering. Yes, custom can fix that, but most including myself will probably never have a $3000 plus custom bolt action rifle.

Nice rifle! Ive found that anything less than 600 is childs play with the 300 PRC, and Ive consistently shot mine at a 1000 yards. The 220ish grain bullets fight the wind quite well! Debating 300 PRC vs 300 Win Mag. I used to own a 300 WM and loved it and still have a bunch of brass but it seems the PRC is optimized for heavier projectiles.

@bmstylee for the price and availability of ammo, I still still have my 300 wm. I want to test out these new calibers and see how they do in target shooting and hunting.
