The place has a nice atmosphere and they seem to be stocking up on ammo - which is good to see. But they prohibit their customers from using reloads! They originally claimed it's because they don't want hot loads going through their back stop. After I posted a critical review, management now claims it's because of safety concerns. I.e. guns blowing up because of hot loads - they dont state how many. So they have chosen to penalize the MANY for the sins of the FEW. One would never be able to overload a .380 auto to be equivalent to a .38 or .357 - which they allow you to shoot. Two years ago a Patron shot himself with a rented gun at Alamo. Yet they haven't stopped renting guns. So their claim for safety concerns is disingenuous. Why doesn't management just be straight forward and say they're willing to gouge their customers in order to make money. BTW, I have shot in gun clubs all over the country for 44 years. I've never been in one that prohibited hand loads - until now!
