I like very much how genuine your video is, unlike some people who upload PERFECT trials and NO mistakes. I went through about the same thing my friend, but I never used UV lights.. I have always used the 500 watt construction lights for about 5 minutes .. they're ok.. with all due respect.. I think the ink bleeding is caused by NOT having a gap between the screen and the fabric.. you must put washers or an american quarter on each corner of the screen to have that gap so the ink wont bleed.. I forgot what its called ... yes .. its called (off contact). I enjoyed watching your clip. Thank you.

It wasnt the shop lights.... when u walked outside.... the uv from the sun can cure a screen in about 7 to 10 seconds. The heavy ink deposit was most likely caused by a thicker emulsion in that area. Its good to see u jump in to printing. I have been there. The exposure unit i built was pretty cool! Great job and good luck!

Yea didn't think about that being heavy emulsion on one side ...I bet that's what it is ...do you think I was pressing to hard also because I was losing alot of detail...it was like the ink was rolling around the back side taking out the grunge effect on my print?

@@poormanprinting7837 dont see that as an issue. I print hotsplit transfers....my best guess is uneven emulsion. If u like send me the file and i will try it on my setup.... 2 c what happens.

Yea i believe either the emulsion was to thick on that one side or my 130 mesh count is laying down to much ink or it's me pressing down to hard idk I'm going to burn another screen today and see what happens..and ty I can always use some help .

Dark room is one of the first things you hear. Black is not a color but absence of light if you are Art major. A room with dark light or dim light. Kodak Corp. Has a sheet for dark room & type of lights. Xray needs a red light dark room. Film developing needs its own dark light and so forth. Emultion needs its very own dark room light.

It is customary to put some sort of black foam underneath the screen so light does not bounce all over, and a glass over the film positive fors help too. Great video in spite.

You're getting uneven ink when printing more than likely due to your off contact of the screen on your board. Also I see you are backing up when pulling the squeegee, now there of course is no wrong or right method as everyone has their own but in my experience I've seen you wanna stand over your screen and let your shoulders do the work not the arms. Your first pass you want to be pretty hard so that the ink pushes the fibers down. That will make the second pass much smoother and leave the print nice and smooth. Also, yellow is shitty to print no matter what lol a white underlay will make the yellow look much better! Keep practicing man!

And there it goes the answer I was looking for ...I didn't know if I needed a white under base on yellow ty....ty... also my pallet was off some and I fixed it this week ..and I been watching videos on how to pull also push ...I'm about ready to give it another shot ...didn't know yellow was that hard to print ..ty for your help I will get this ...or die trying

15 seconds is all you need with that exposure light you currently have and you don't need the pressure washer to clear the screen; A spray bottle with water will do the trick will save you time every time instead of busting out the pressure washer...

It's really not that big of a deal. I have my pressure washer already set up in the corner of my shop. But yes I see what your talking about and I might try that .

Really love your setup. Do you know where the problem comes from? If no, the answer is paint your exposure table surface with black color or spread a piece of black cloth or towel on the table top before exposing the screen. That is just the trick. Thank you.

Yep I was learning 🤣 the problem was I took it out side to wash my image off and that 20 sec out side messed up my image so a word of advice don't take it out side with blue ultra fast solvent emulsion..🤣 that's all it takes to mess it up. Use yellow lights in your garage or house or bathroom no uv lights .

It was not really your garage light, it was the uv light going around your emulsion and bouncing off the wood and back onto the screen.
