I saved any spare cash (not much of it!) over the last few months so I could buy this bible. I’m very visual when it comes to learning and oh my, this one looks superb! I ordered it from EBay today 😁. To get free post n packing from the US to the UK (normally around £15 😧) I have to allow 6 weeks for delivery, so I’m going to call it a Christmas prez to myself 😆. Enjoy that study bible you're reading, make sure you read all of the scriptures, use the study notes as reference points, read all the maps, articles, cross references, and of course the book introductions, for background information purposes.

Hi. I know it's been a while since you've posted this video. I am looking for the ultimate of all Bibles to invest in. I'd love an update on pros/cons of this Bible, durability, etc.! I love the way this one is color coded, the tabs, etc. But wonder is the leather authentic? Bridge sewn or glued? Does it lie nice and flat while reading? This Bible comes from Jeff Cavin's class called "The Bible Timeline" that we watched in formation in a Religious Order I was with. You should watch it perhaps even setup a little group at your parish to watch it together.

The Bible is really great but was not my cup of tea. I prefer a straight-up reference Bible so I am sticking with my Didache Bible and Douay-Rheims (Loreto). I gave it to my son and he loves it for school. My critique: (1) Well laid out with tons of info following the Great Adventure. (2) Great cover and layout (3) My major criticism is that for the price of the Bible I would expect a sewn binding. The GAB is glued🤨. So not sure how it will stand up over the long haul. Overall very nice.

I also really loved how genuine and sweet you are - seriously it’s a breath of fresh air. Two questions - one, not really about the video😂, but what was that piano music at the end? And two, how would you expose a friend, or even partner, to the Catholic Faith when she’s said she doesn’t see herself becoming Catholic or religious in any capacity, but is willing to try? It’s a hard one, and I’m just curious about what you think on the matter.

I'm glad you're getting one! Great decision! The music at the end is just one of the tracks from iMovie, which is what I use to edit. I think the best way you can share the faith is just by your example and speaking openly about your personal faith and why you believe the things that you do, and then inviting her into that. For example, sharing with her why you go to Mass every Sunday (or even more if you go to daily Mass) and then just inviting her each time you go... that way it's an invitation that she doesn't have to feel pressured into but she can accept if she is interested. Also just speaking openly about why you love Jesus, how He has impacted your life, etc. I've found the best way to bring people into the faith is by sharing our own testimony. Hope that helps!

You're right! I just meant that it has more books, being a Catholic Bible, than a lot of other Bibles. A few years ago I didn't realize there was a difference between different Bibles and how many books were included so that was my only point. You're totally correct on terminology though! :)

Alejandra Guzmán and Melissa, I didn’t know that “different bibles” had “different number of books” until I watched a KZbin video explaining the differences. I have read the Bible but not the Catholic Bible so I did not have the “extra books” to read in my bible yearly devotional. I also purchased a timeline to help me. (I’m ready to do it again thinking to purchase this bible with the complete books). It is so eye opening to read how the OT predicts/plays out Jesus. And then in the New Testament (the gospels) is Jesus and his life. And then in Acts is the making of the church and, we, the people who make up the church. And then the book of revelation -- could we be riding that adventure in this present time?

Melissa Tablada I never heard of it! But I can see that it’s a journal Catholic Bible. I’m still hesitant on writing or highlighting in my bibles. I use the Ignatius study bible and the didache bible! (I’m fairly new to the Catholic faith. I’m a revert that studied Christian history and now I’m back).

There's nothing specifically for women about their Bible, it's just beautifully simple and has room for journaling in the margins. I can totally understand your hesitation. I don't find anything wrong with it but I do still hesitate just because I don't want to mess it up or make it look bad. But I do love when you can see how used, read, and loved an old Bible is and see the verses that stuck out to someone long ago. While I love that I have a journaling Bible, I have only made one or two notes in the margins because I hesitate to take away from how beautiful it is. Although, that is just my own junk I need to get over! Your Bible sounds like a great one! I love learning about Ignatius Spirituality!

Actually, I was not simply raised Catholic. I started learning about the Catholic Church's teachings when I was in college and have been studying and practicing the faith ever since. The doctrine of the Church is much of the reason I live out my faith so passionately. I believe in these teachings whole heartedly and have seen first hand the blessings that living them out brings. Most often, those who have issues with Church doctrine do not fully understand it. That may not be the case for you but it is unfortunate when people make assumptions on something they have not studied/understood. Learning about and practicing my Catholic faith has helped me to find freedom, joy, peace and live fully alive. I couldn't be more grateful.
