Luke 1:28 "Hail full of grace, the Lord is with thee, Blessed art thou among women". John 2:4 "what is that to me and to thee? My hour has not yet come". The Douay Rheims is the only correct Bible in English.

I like red letter Bibles. There are many pre-Vatican II red letter Bibles. It makes the NT even more special, because of Christ.

Hello Matt, I am planning to buy this Bible but just wanted a clarification - does this Great Adventure Bible have any commentary on the books to understand it better. For instance, does books like Revelation have any commentary explaining the passages. Would appreciate your response. Thank you

No it's not even a study bible..it has bible timelines and has some article maps and charts..

As you have already been told, it doesn't have any commentary. For commentary, I use either my Didache Bible or my Ignatius Study Bible (New Testament only). Both use the same translation, RSV2CE. The Didache uses commentary based on the catechism.

I like the words of Jesus in red. Otherwise I agree with you. I also bought the tabs to go with my Bible. It is a great combination.

Personal I used the RSVCE, but the Catholic equivalent of an “everyday language” bible is the New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE)

Thank you. Another question I have.... I have the catechism of the Catholic Church and I’m having a hard time following..... is there something else I can use to help me better understand the bible? No on line options available.

So, the modernist interpretation of Joshua 10:12-14 seems to be starkly in contrast to Sts. Augustine, Ambrose and John Chrysostom. But hey, they are only Doctors of the Church and the theology of the 20 and 22st centuries has been so rock solid. 🤔 Buyer beware.

If anyone gets upset or annoyed because they don't like this or that, I don't like the color the pages are to thin/thick words of jesus are iinred/ not in red. The covers not soft enough no its to soft..and on it goes...... All you people are reading the wrong book ,ungrateful/selfish and wholly entitled .....some people in the world have never even seen a bible....
