I could be wrong, but it looks like there is a pocket behind the inner left side that you can access by the pen holder in the middle.

The Nutsac Sling is very nice, but it's about twice as much as I'd like to spend. 🙃 I've got my eye on the Chrome Industries' Kadet sling and Tensile hip pack to replace my Kavu Switch Slinger, tho that waxed canvas is very sweet. Still, I just love the belt buckles on Chrome's products, and have been very happy with my Kadet Max as a replacement for my dearly dilapidated Think Geek Bag of Holding, which served me well for a decade, but eventually its zippers broke. The Fjallraven Kanken Hip Pack is also tempting, but a bit too small to fit a water bottle anything else in it, so ehhhhhhhh.
