Old forge!!! I used to go there every summer fly from Colorado or Arizona and trout and small mouth fish!! I spent a week or two in the summer one of the best places to fish in the world!!!!!

The only thing I could suggest is getting some yak attack tie downs and using synch straps to secure your blackpak down. The pieces that hook into the corners aren't very strong and if you flipped the yak those will break and your crate will go with them. I only know from watching a buddy loose his crate, tackle and rods that were attached

I spent a lot of time in Old forge when I was younger. I grew up about 40 mins from there. Lots of great hiking and of course the fishing is awesome as well. Not only can you hit all the lakes in that area but pond hopping with a ultralight canoe/kayak is also big up that way.

Bought both of my kayaks there - 2017 Old Town Predator MX and inspired by your quest for a smaller boat, bought a Native Watercraft Falcon 11 in 2022. Ahhh back in NY. Love it. The 5 lber was a beauty. That water is so clear! You are getting pretty good with all the rigging. I am getting a second kayak so that I can leave one at my Maine vacation site and the TitanX Max is one I'm considering. Just worried about the extra weight. I might have to go demo one somewhere. Really like the looks of that yak. Thanks for sharing.

Because of you I’m getting the 10.5 instead of the 12.5 titan x. I realized the 10.5 is more than big enough for me. The passion you have for kayak fishing is crazy, what you went through to go fishing the next day was cool to see and made me realize how much I love doing the same.

hey greg, a small drop shot like lure that is a mayfly, is very good to kill the skunk. it gets blue gill small bass will smack it and big bass will snack on it. just good to get your feet on your ground and work your way up and feel out the fish on what they are feeling like doing, a chase, or an easy meal.

Check out the YakGadget Quadbar for a single fish finder mounting option. I just bought it for my TitanX 10.5 and it's pretty clean if you're only running one graph. I know you typically run 2, but for 1 graph it looks a lot sleeker than the captains bar.

They're NRS boots, waterproof and not as "hot" as you'd think as in I can where them when the temps are in the 70's without discomfort. amzn.to/4bvC1Bg

I have a question. Why a titan I mean I’ve been looking for a bit now to start up my kayak fishing and I’m torn between the Hobie 360 xr and the titan any way you can sway me to which side? Just wanna be open minded when buying would be helpful for an answer thank you and also I enjoy or content very much you are one of the reason I’m getting a kayak

just have to say I've never been nor had experience in a Hobie so I can't speak to it. I just like the Native boats for their propel drive as I feel it gives me better control on the water and they're probably the most stable kayaks on the market which is important to me especially when the weather gets sketchy. Lots of other reasons but been using them since 2014 and haven't had a reason to look anywhere else
