My new favorite place in Thailand - Si Satchanalai World Heritage Site

We explore the world heritage site of Si Satchanalai near Sukhothai Thailand. The amazing site covers over 45 square miles in 4 sub districts. Si Satchanalai’s history is storied with being parts of the Khmer, Lanna, Sukhothai and Siam kingdoms. The ruins are in amazing shape with some dating back to the 13th century. Enjoy the tour!

@@Jumpeyuk i went back up there a few months ago. I went to all 3 of the cities of the UNESCO site. It’s a wonderful part of Thailand. Did you get to see some of the smaller sites that are outside of the park? Some really interesting ruins.

I went here by myself back in 2012. There were a couple groups of religious pilgrims, but otherwise, I felt like I had the whole place to myself. Absolutely serene and spiritual experience, either for Buddhist practitioners or history buffs alike. Glad you got to enjoy it.

A great part of Thailand. We had a similar experience. Most people have no idea about it since Sukhothai is what is promoted. I need to get back up there again soon since there are a few other places I want to see. Thanks for watching! Thank you very much. I enjoy places like this very much. I think it goes back to growing up near Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon and Hovenweep back home. We would go to these places on field trips at school and I was always the first kid in line talking to the park rangers.
