Those are amazing! I've never seen those! My favorite weren't my favorite until last night. I have painted fire cherry red shrimp from Lrbretz. I had them in a tiny 5 gallon guppy fry tank that wasn't planted. They hid all the time and I never saw them. Last night I transferred them to a heavily planted tank and wow, their behavior changed over night. They are all over the plants not hiding and grazing and swimming around. I can't believe it. It just shows you that you need to create a suitable environment for your aquatic friends for them to be happy.

OMG Rachel! These shrimp are so cool! I have not yet tried my hand at keeping shrimp of any kind. Partly because they are so sensitive, and partly because I'm an accidental snail rancher! They’re beautiful Rachel and it’s easy to see how much you adore them from the way your face lights up when you talk about them, especially after your run of bad luck recently it’s nice to see you smiling again. Do all shrimp prefer those lower temperatures? How do people put them with betta splendens when bettas like the temperature around 80°ish?
@RachelOLeary5 жыл бұрын
Neos dont mind it warm and are more versatile

Rachel O'Leary thanks! I keep considering getting some to go with my Betta Splenden but I don’t really have the money to just buy my fish a very expensive snack if you catch my drift lol! 😂 The aquarium decorations I am making for the betta tank are “unfortunately” a bit too big so I might have to invest in a bigger tank for Franklin (my betta) and then get some shrimp for his old tank 😂😂 Those tigers sure are beautiful though 🥰

I really like the wild varieties that have never been crossed. They are so beautiful just the way they are. I think it's important that at least a few breeders keep and breed these wild species. I feel the same way about Class N Endlers.

Until yesterday my lfs was a terrible place to go if you were looking for aquatic invertebrates. They set up a specific are for them and brought in several species of crayfish as well as amano shrimp, cherry shrimp, blue velvet shrimp and even a few brackish and freshwater crabs. I bought anything I could properly care for and picked up a new substrate that the had right next to the shrimp called Samurai Soil by CaribSea. Do you or anyone else have any experience with it? I can't find much info about it online and bought it on impulse. Love those Tiger shrimp btw they are just gorgeous!

if tigers prefer ph 7, and You use buffering substrate which lower PH, so i was wondering if it is not better to use innert substrate and keep neutral PH , 7-7.2 like for neocaridina
