Perfect timing (for me)... I'm headed back to Japan this summer and will be down in Fukuoka. My family is leaving to head on to China and leaving me behind for a few days (before I head back to the US). I plan to go game hunting in Fukuoka and stop, maybe at Nagoya to also game hunt, and then on to Tokyo to hunt in Hachioji (I had decent luck at a couple hard-offs there, last summer) and in various parts of Chiba.

Dude thank you for what you do. I have literally unsubscribed from almost every retro video game channel except yours, retro ghetto, and game chasers. Probably because all the vibes are real, your not getting ads shoved consistently down your throat, reselling is not the goal of your channels, and no over acting. And if you ever want to start doing any of that its cool just please do it in moderation. Again thank you for what you do!!!

JRPGLIFE have great videos but sometimes it feels like they're just doing the same not so great stuff as retrorick or pixelgamesquad (but I do enjoy there videos and I still enjoy there content).

The Super Famicom wrestling game towards the end of the video is a NJPW/Shin Nippon/Shin Nihon (Antonio Inoki promotion) game AJPW/Zen Nippon/Zen Nihon is Giant Baba’s promotion and those are different games the All Japan games are usually better than the New Japan games and same goes for the actual wrestling in life when you watch it from the 1970s/80s/90s/2000s

Bro, that super famicom tray at 8:19 - i was in Gotemba Japan last month and saw the same thing in a glass case full of super mario cartridges. I asked the clerk if i could buy it and he said no then walked away with it! I would have easily paid 1,000 yen for it 😂

If you can hook them up via RF, probably. Famicoms are usually in the Junk section because they can't realistically test them since there's no AV output.

I don't tink I ever saw a boxed GBA passthrough charger, I'd have bought that because I'm an accessories slut. You laugh at the Pokemon gen 1 maps but in the west you didn't get one, and the only other way to get one is to buy a japanese boxed copy and HOPE the map's inside. I actually think the $17 is a solid investment, can put a boxed copy from ib to cib. More importantly, the maps dope anyway 😂 The ASCII PSO Online Controller keyboard is one of my holy grails and it can stay that way at that price 🤣 SHOUT OUT TO BONK FANS, the Amiga version of BONK is insane, and shout out to you PIM, you the real OG leting me keep living the HARDOFF life without being in japan.

Haha it's just crazy because that's what I paid for my CIB Pokemon games, including maps. They're still like 500-1000 yen on Mercari as well even today tho that's why I was so shocked

Western collectors are vacuuming up the Pokemon games. I picked up my CIB 1st gen games for 300-700 yen each a couple of years ago, and just last week I watched a JP copy of Pokemon Green sell for 150€ on a European auction site.
