Justin Sturgill... Thanks for the review my friend. The Cornwell wrenches look really good. I would like to get a set of them and the Mac Precision Torque wrenches. From 6mm to 32mm. Also been thinking about becoming a Cornwell Tools dealer/distributor.

Cornwell has incredibly well made USA tools and should get a lot more credit for continuing to make things with old school quality. Love their ratchets, especially the 30 tooth ones with the dial switch. The wrenches look awesome. I’ve got a few inherited and they look basically the same as the ones in the video except for the chrome finish. Their swivel impacts are bullet proof. A guy walked on the Cornwell truck and warrantied a swivel impact that had to be at least 50 years old. It was basically identical to the new replacement. Same Ohio factory. Same equipment.

Justin, is the head thickness on the Cornwell thinner than that on the Wright? I love my Wright wrenches but the head thickness has caused problems.

You should try Gray Tools, made in The Great White North 🇨🇦. Same quality as the Snap On but cheaper.

Just back here for my favorite KZbin into! Seriously though, good wrench review! Unfortunately back when I was still wrenching, Cornwell wasn’t coming around our shop yet, just the other big three. I hear good things about them from alot or techs.

Cornwell makes nice tools but the tolerances can be on the sloppy side sometimes on the wrenches.
@mlieser1230Ай бұрын
Those Cornwell wrenches look like the old Mac wrenches. I had the same issue with the edges of the Snap-on beams digging into the creases of my fingers too. The Mac squared beams felt better in my hand so that was what I bought. Unfortunately Cornwell isn't present in my area. I'd like to try one of these wrenches and see how they feel in my hands.

I got this Cornwell set 5 -6 ago.. got rid of them because the square handel was so uncomfortable for me.. also the open end was very thick compared to other brands. . And the last thing the crom finished started to peel of.. I was so despondent from the over all quality.. trade the set to a snap on set .. much better quality

I know some people don't like this guy, but when he does a video on a tool he likes I watch it and will take his advice. He does not just put some crap video up about a great tool. He uses them and calls it like it is. He is one of the few guys I trust when it comes to giving an honest opinion about a tool. I wish you did more of these Justin. I need a good set of wrenches and will be checking these out for sure. Peace!!!

My favourite wrenches are 6-point box end Snap-on or Proto. I would like to purchase 6-point wrenches from other brands as long as they are made in the USA. Most of my 12-point and double open-end wrenches are Hazet and Craftsman.
@interceptor7905Ай бұрын
Hazet are top notch tools.

@interceptor7905 I agree. I like their non polished surface of their mechanical tools. I only wish they had wrenches with a 6-point box end.

That extra notch in the open end of wrenches is just a gimmick (not talking about the flank drive or equivalent). It was either project farm or torque test channel who proved it.

I like the Cornwell USA made wrenches a lot I have several and will by more. My favorite wrenches are the older Mac v notch wrenches I have 3 or 4 complete sets of those including some brand new sets never used I keep put away since they don’t make them any. I’m also a fan of the 1st generation kobalt v notch wrenches although they can be a little uncomfortable in certain situations. I’m like you I love wrenches and have way more than I need.

Those Cornwell.wrenches look like the cheaper Pittsburgh long wrench set they have, buddy has them at the farm, they actually work pretty decent for cheap wrenches. I dont like the skinny handles they seem to hurt when u gotta pull on them idk I'm happy with the Texton ones for out in the field and the snap on in the garage. I do need a set of non flank drive plus wrenches, the flank plus seem to fuck up the heads on cosmetic bolts, I dont like that. Better use under the equipment where nobody sees shit all marred up
