I got the Rocket Hades recently and have been really impressed with it. I liked some of the other decks more but chose that one because I can't ride these narrow wheel bases. Really like the aggressive concaves of these boards.

Can you do a review on the arbiter KT by Original, or the Finnabone by Based Boards

How's it in comparison to the Micro? I really love my Micro for its quality and coolness, but it's been a struggle coming back to DH on the new tiny board and slalom trucks thing after spending so long on an Evo+JimZs back in the day.
@downhill254skate2 жыл бұрын
You have a lot more freedom to find a foot position that works for you on this deck tha on the micro. Also feels more durable in terms of taking impacts. My tip for gettting used to these new school tiny boards and sllaoms is riding with most of your weight on your front foot. Will solve like most of your problems

@@downhill254skate micro has a bit more aggressive concave too, yeah? Rhino is one of the most perfect feeling mellow concave boards imo 😍

Personnally I don't like tiny boards and slalom trucks.... I much prefer 36/37" kick tail boards with 180mm trucks. But I don't ride pure DH at high speed. Maybe I'll change my mind...

Ride what you're comfortable on really. Personally I feel slalom style setups sacrifice a lot of the fun and forgiving nature of a larger board in exchange for cornering performance. For top level racers or riders on the absolute edge of the limit this exchange makes sense, but for 95% of hobbyists a 23-26" wheelbase on 150mm+ trucks will provide all the performance you need.

Rocket are amazing. My werewolf was a game changer for me. The Rhino as you mentioned seems thicker which would soak up the vibrations. Although I kind of like feeling the road - it’s why I prefer Vulcs. Also noticed you have Bam Bams. Man they are nice gloves - not as hot as some leather gloves but still really durable and comfortable - you agree?
@downhill254skate2 жыл бұрын
The bam bams are nice. Snug, but already tore them, don't if it was me or something else, but yeah. Durable otherwise, no tears any where else. Very nice. Can confirm they don't get hot :) Hmmm, I can still feel a lot of the road, but it isn't too harsh

@@downhill254skate yeah I guess with the gloves it’s a bit of a balance between comfort and durability. I gaffa tape certain areas even before I use them like the thumbs which I’m sure you do too.

Do you miss doing ollies and tail scrapes? Or are the advantages overshadowing all that?
@downhill254skate2 жыл бұрын
I mainly use this board for aggressive hands down riding, and skating at 30mph+. Not much room for ollies going that fast. But I do have downhill boarsd that have kicktails which i love when I do more riding in an urban enviroment

What’s your opinions on the rayne libido?
@downhill254skate2 жыл бұрын
Too much concave for my taste, but haven't tried it irl
@dylannorris6152 жыл бұрын
aye as a fairly new rider, I'm wondering how the board would feel if you flip the trucks backwards? should i just try it myself
@RatBürgerSk8 Жыл бұрын
It will turn the opposite direction that you lean. Very weird feeling, impossible to ride.
