Prop pitch, max rpm, and speed. Then experiment with 15 other props to find the optimal one! Lol I have a 2019 V-19 WT 200 ProXS with 17 pitch tempest. Still breaking it in. Love the boat, the motor is a beast! Great video btw!

After just one season of salt water use my 2018 v18 targa engine wouldn't start anymore. My radio wouldn't work, and my live well covers were falling off. Tracker wouldn't give me any satisfaction saying I shouldn't have used it in a salt water environment. All that money spent and basically for nothing!!! Thanks Tracker, I thought you were better than that!!!!

@@willmann81785 I love it, quiet hull and a very stable boat. I prefer the layout of the 2020 model as they made better use of space than they did in 2018. The 48 gallon rear livewell is a waste. As for motors, in 2018 the only 200hp available was the 4 cylinder v-rod. It was a 7k canadian upgrade from the 150 and for an additional 3 miles per hour made no sence. It was a supercharged 1.7 liter so it's working hard to make 200. The 150 is a 3.0 liter and from all accounts bullit proof. Now had I had the option for the pro xs v8 200 chances are I would have gone that route. As it stands I top out at 48 mph on gps and that's plenty fast for me as I'm not a tournament angler so I just cruise at 30-35 for the most part. Hope this helps.

Some of the dry storage looks like water can get in pretty easily. Have you had any issues, especially in the floor storage and the bow.

How has the boat held up? Looking at getting one myself. Heard some complaints about the storage in the floor gets water in them. And he said about leaving a little bit of water in the livewells? Is there a way to to drain all the water out? If you leave water in them they will stink anyway. And is there a way to keep track of the hrs on the engine?

Hi. I just got a 18’ targa w 150. I’m just curious if you have noticed any of the issues I’m noticing with the new motor. First of all it steers very differently left then right. Maybe prop rotation… idk. And I have to rotate the steering wheel a lot to make minor course corrections. I assume there is some kind of a hydraulic issue but the dealer is telling me everything is operationally normal. The other thing I noticed is motor shake. At idle in gear the boat shakes enough to make the graph on the consul almost hard to view contour lines. Have you noticed anything like that? TIA

Does this boat have ANY wood in it? When you lifted the hatches everything looked like it was aluminum, which is good. I don't know when boats moved away from interior wood frames, so maybe none of them use it these days. Just curious, as I'll be looking for a new fishing boat in the next couple years.

@@willmann81785 Just went out for a week of camping and fishing. The 150 on the V18 is awesome! Not the fastest boat on the water, but plenty fast enough. My wife, all her shit, my 215 lb step son, my 250 lb heft, a 60 lb dog, and a full load of gear, we topped out just over 37mph. She still got on plane in a heartbeat. With me, step son, and a 1/2 tank of fuel, we were at 43-45 depending on wind and water conditions. Prop is an 18p, 3 blade Enertia.

Should also note it just sips fuel. 3 days on the water and didn't even drop the fuel to the 1/2 tank mark. My old 125, 2-smoke would have been empty the second day.

Terry, how are you still liking the boat. I have a 2018 V-175 Combo and the trim pump has had problems twice. The big problem has been the single axle trailer. Mine is not a Targa so it just has the single axle. The passenger side tire hits the inside of the fender when going over moderate bumps on the road. The dealership has contacted Tracker and they have done everything possible, but it still hits when going over over bumps as confirmed by the dealership's shop. I've been thinking of trading it off for a hurricane 196f ob deck boat. How are you still likening yours? I thought I made a sound choice when purchasing, the trailer has really been the issue that makes me feel unsafe when transporting. I've had another trailer shop check it for squareness and bent axle and it appears to be within acceptable specs.

I always hear Trackers are underpowered entry level boats. They've caught up on horsepower now... even though the new mercury's probably are excessively powerful. The only issue is they come with primitive electronics and bow mounts. Other boats come with nothing. Life time warranty on the hull, transom, and deck. Pretty nice rigs and hopefully they'll last.

Just took hold of my 2023 targa18. Nice boat just to much stupid stuff. When you put seat in rear deck you cannot open compartments next to seat. Gas cap in center of boat need to push cables out of the way to load fuel. No working physical compass even Lorance says don't trust their numbers. You need to really look this boat over before you buy.

It truly has exceeded all of my expectations, I just wish I would have got it sooner! I'll give a long term update review video on it, not sure when but keep your eyes open for that. But if you're looking for a great boat that can handle big and small waters, with tons of space, you'll Love the Targa!

So, I bought a 2019 V-19 WT Targa with 200 ProXS last week. The price oout the door was $39,650. The 2020s might be a bit more and I believe the combo vs the wt (walk-through) is a bit more. There's other dealers that sell them. Sometimes you can work a deal.

I bought a Tracker Targa from Bass Pro in Auburn Hills they switched the 150 Merc what I bought in the showroom they try to give me some kind of old storage cover with birdshit on it when I bought a $800 ratchet cover be careful doing business with these people
