I bought a chair that's rated for 24 hour use. It's basically designed for security guards that are former football players. Best investment I've ever made.

Man awesome video. I've recently gotten deeper into DCS and now I am thinking on upgrading my stick from a 20$ Logitech one to an actual HOTAS. Would you recommend Track IR or VR for flying in DCS?

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Contrasting VR vs. head tracking could really be its own video, but briefly I'll say this: If your PC is beefy enough to handle VR, then nothing beats that for immersion as long as you get the right headset and settings. If not, and you're still fairly new, head tracking is cheaper, comes with fewer technical headaches, and lower system requirements.

@@takeoffwithjakesoft Thank you for answering my question it helped a lot. I don't think my PC can handle VR right now at the moment so I think I am going to go with Track IR for now. I do have some more questions though. Where would you say is best to get this gear? Would it be Amazon or some other online store?

@@mjrpane You can buy TrackIR direct from trackir.com or from Amazon. Disclaimer though, I use a lower-cost alternative called "PuckIR" as shown in the video, so I've never actually bought or used the official Track IR product. The system I use is available from grassmonkeysimulations.com . Choose whichever you'd like, it'll really enhance your experience once you get it dialed in.

@@takeoffwithjakesoft Appreciate the help. Any chance you could make videos on explaining intro level gear? That would be really helpful.
