After watching this and Lindsay's detailed Coptic stitch binding videos, I am really inspired to make a sketchbook! She used the big sheets which might be more economical, but starting with a pad seems much less intimidating plus I could use the backer board for covers, right? They must be acid-free since they are in contact with the paper all the time. Happy to join you on this adventure!

@@lynnephelps2370 do it!!! I have also made them from the big sheets of paper and I love using both. There is no wrong answer. Just try it! You can absolutely use the backer board from the pads of paper. The first one I made was a mini sketchbook and I found it less intimidating, too. (It was 4.5" square, I think)

@@ellencha5975 thanks! I hope to release one "episode" a week. It takes me a bit longer to do these since they have more meaning to me than other projects.

Thanks! The size overall is 7.75 x 11 x 1.75. I was generous with my cover so the pages wouldn't stick out. The pages are 7 x 10.
