I made it with reference to the plane of a filos in Athens .
What,s defferent from my previous DLG
① Change the dighedral angle from 13→24
② Change the wing mount method to reduce the weight to less than 100g.
③ Design change of vertical stabilizer

Hi, thank you very much. In my country, the aviation law was changed last year, and aircraft weighing 100g or more need to be notified to the government and applied for flying, so in order to avoid this, it is necessary to make a glider of less than 100g.

I really like you wing mount system! A little heavy with the hardware, but VERY creative almost diabolical in its adjustability.

hi, thanks for the comment. This wing mount system can change the CG position without changing the weight, so it is very easy to use because you can adjust the CG position depending on the wind strength of the day.

Perfect Build! Awesome AUweight. A bit overkill for the tails if you ask me, but it seems to work perfectly! Thank you for your reference to my work! Why only the top surface with carboline, I would expect only the bottom.

Hahaha ~, the tail may be overkill. a filos, thank you for your glider plan. I made it so that if the tail is damaged, it can be easily removed and repaired. The reason why carboline is attached only to the upper surface is that the upper surface has a deeper curved surface, so it is easier to obtain strength. Is it better to stick it on the bottom? What is boo? Do you mean carbon tube?

@@afilos I bought a wrapped tapered carbon tube for sale at GOODWINDS CONPOSITES. goodwinds.com/product-category/carbon-fiberglass/carbon/wrapped/tapered-tubes/ It is the limit strength that I can use. Part number is WCTBUL Breath UL taperd Big end OD: .265 "inch, about 6.7mm Big End ID: .225 "inch" Small end OD: .160 "inch, about 4mm Small End ID: .130 "inch Length: 32.5 inches, about 82.5 cm Weight: 0.214 ounces, about 6.3 g

Very nice light glider! It seems to be very thin airfoil You have. Nice wings! I am waiting for the maiden!

Thank you very much. The other day, on May 4, I flew with a set of CG adjustable wing mount fuselage + new dihedral angle 24 main wing = 103g, so I will upload it from now on.

Hi, could You tell me where You bought the carbon fabric? Do You think it is easier to work with it than with fiberglass? Is it advisable to put carbon tape under the carbon fabric as well to achieve greater rigidity? Thank You.

What is the density of the carbon fibre? Is there a specific name for this carbon fibre brand?

The weight of this carbon cloth is 26g/㎡. The brand is called Carboline SC26/2/45 and I bought it from hyperflight.co.uk, but it seems that it is currently unavailable because it is made in Ukraine.

Could You think of any other way to make a 3D printer receiving structure for these wing mounting screws? Could something similar be made of plywood? I think with this intermediate element it is easier to prevent CA glue from getting into the hole of the screw during the momentary fixing. I really like this solution.

I may not understand your question well, but in the past I made it with balsa wood and carbon flat bars. Assuming that you use M3 mounting screws. Make two sets of rods with balsa wood (2mm x 4mm x 120mm) and carbon flat rod (0.8-1mm x 3mm x 120mm) glued together. A part made of balsa wood (3mm x 15mm x 10-12mm at both ends) (3mm x 10mm x 10-12mm at the center) is sandwiched between the above two rods and glued. The inside is on the carbon side. Below the flat bars on either side of the above three balsawood parts, another balsawood part (3 mm x 15 mm x 7-9 mm at both ends) (3 mm x 10 mm x 7-9 mm in the center) there is. It is sandwiched and glued. The lower part of the balsa wood is polished and glued according to the curvature of the fuselage carbon pipe so that the distance between the fuselage carbon pipe and the flat rod is 4 mm. It is difficult to understand if you explain it in words.

These solutions are great! But I likes Your srew mounting system. I would like to modify as Your way to be easier fix it to the boom. As You have done. It is perfect! 👌 3d printed mounting parts with M3 screw. So I think that it is a nice solution for fixing the wings! Thank You, mizuroku1 that You help me a lot of! 👍 I will read that blog to learn more about glider building technics.

mizuroku1 great build, thank you. its seems that a filos have make a winner ;) And have i understand corectly, your CG adjustment mechanism is 3d printed? How is your experince with that sistem, is good, bad... do you recomend it...?

This wing mount system is very convenient because you can easily adjust the center of gravity according to the flight conditions. I used to make it with balsa wood and carbon strip as in the reference article, but now I am making it with carbon strip and a 3D Printer with a slight change in size. So far, this has never broken. I'm guessing you can't understand the language because it's Japanese, but I think you can think about it by looking at the pictures.
