I test road the challenger limited two weeks ago . The clutch , automatic windshield, the horse power , the torque, the three ride modes , the smart lean technology, the breaks , Omg the suspension felt so smooth when rolling over pot holes , Indian really amazed me . They created a beast straight out of the crate . The hardest choice I'm going to make isn't trading in my Road Glide . That part is going to be a breeze. Deciding on the color will be the difficult part. If a HarleyDavidson rider that owns a touring bike takes a challenger out for a spin , they will agree with me . The Indian Challenger is no joke friends. Tomorrow Saturday I'm picking one up .

I just seen this video for the first time. I ride a 23 Chieftain Dark Horse. It is my first bike. I looked for months before I actually bought my CDH and I sat on all sorts of bikes and I bought it because I felt like I belonged on it. It spoke to my soul. I haven't rode the Challenger yet but I can say the balance,handling,power that these have stock are wonderful. You probably don't have it anymore but I hope you enjoyed it!

Yo Jess, Bought my first 97 Honda Valkyrie Standard in 97. I bought it because they were outside of the box. They were the Hot Rod Lincoln version of the Goldwing. 1999 I bought my 2nd, Valkyrie Interstate full bagger with trunk fixed fairing. Clocked 135,000 mi on that Motorsickle then gave it to my oldest son. Purchased my third Valkyrie which is another 97 standard. Awesome touring rig with Attitude, tons of torque and plenty of ponies. Very comfortable riding position. Cannot wipe the smile off my face each and every time I ride. Totally ❤ this Motorsickle. You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda Valkyrie. Keep the Shiny Side Up.

I bought used 2020 Indian roadmaster dark horse, bc I was doing a lot of long distance rides on 18 Harley iron 1200 2 up and it wasn't the comfiest bike to do it. It was a great starter bike. Did a lot demo rides on multiple bikes with my wife till we both fell in love with the Indian. Took me awhile to find the right color and price. But this is the second year of owning the bike and I love it. The one thing I will say is that aftermarket parts are limited to indians. 19:59

I own a 21 Challenger Limited. I loved it from the moment I test rode it. Coming from a 2014 Yamaha V Star 1300 Deluxe, the ride was night and day. I took a one mile test ride and bought it right then and there. No hesitation at all.

Plug is a battery tender. I have a 23' challenger dark horse. I have appointments at this time to do a stage 2 cams and Lloyd's tune with cat delete soon. Biggest separation between Harley and Indian stock is the ride quality and comfort. I have two friends where 18k in motor work average in their Harley 107 and 114 where a challenger with the Lloyd's and stage 2 walked all over them. Without the Harley "shake" at the red light. Quality is higher/ bang for your buck. Brand loyal with the challenger in the running is out the door at this point

Jess, I ride a Street Glide. I am 6"2 280 lbs. As much as I would love to have a smaller "ride around town bike", I am too big for them. That is why I choose to ride a bagger. But too each their own. As long as you enjoy the ride, ride what you wish. Stay safe and keep these great videos coming.

Have owned a few different ones over the years - Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Nomad, Harley Ultra Limited and then switched to the Sport Touring with a BMW R1200RT. Currently on a BMW R1250 GS Adventure and while it's not as comfy as my previous touring/sport touring bikes, having just one bike that I can ride across the country and do some mild off road/forest logging roads/trails, etc. is a great feeling!

Gun smoke white Indian Chieftain limited and love it. I’ve don’t 93000km on my bike Throughout Australia lots of Queensland but also Bathurst (look up Bathurst touring car race) and 8000km round trip to Uluru Alice Springs and the like into south Australia and Western nsw. But also just doing the hills and western valleys from Brisbane to doing the daily not so daily rider stuff occasionally. Nice to see your enjoying the Challenger. I ride a 2019 Indian Scout Bobber. I came from riding a little Honda CB500F. So I knew I really wanted a “cruiser” of some sort, something more comfortable than the sport bike. I loved the lines of the Scout Bobber, the power it put out, and the nice price point for the newer models. I did some demo rides, although I never did ride a Harley! Idk what I’d be on if I had. But it’s been over a year with my scout, I’m still building it out for better comfort. It’s been a great entry bike to the cruising world! I do just wish Indian had the dealer network and the aftermarket parts that Harley has, very envious!

My daily driver is a 2017 Indian Roadmaster. I have put a tad over 17,000 miles on it over the past 18 months. I my previous daily drivers were Kawasaki Voyager and Kawasaki Nomad. I put over 90,000 mile on the Nomad. The Roadmaster, by far, is the ultimate ride I have had so far. I am the second owner of this bike, so it already had some mods done, including a cam, tune, and headers. In other words, it screams acceleration if I want to. This bike is an absolute 2-wheel Escalade. The air adjustable rear suspension is fantastic! The rear trunk is huge (2 full helmet huge) and has a 12v plug and a light in the lid. The trunk and saddle bags all lock remotely with the FOB. The only gripes I have is in the electronics, especially the music. There is a USB cord in the top compartment of the fairing that I plug a thumb drive into with the playlist. I can search by artist, album, etc. If I want to make a change to something else, the search begins back at the beginning of the list. So going, say from Joe Bonamassa to ZZ Top, it is irritating. My bike has the heated seat, but there is a heated and COOLED seat option that I can upgrade to as well as an adaptive headlight. I would like to add both at some point ($$$). I did install a trailer hitch so I can take my camper. (Yes, I pull a pop-up camper that makes a full size bed). The weight distribution is fantastic, the handling is a dream, the power is beyond compare the headers and Vance & Hines pipes are very deep and throaty and the cam gives great power and a very sexy lope at idle. Now that you have had a change to rider the Challenger, treat yourself to a bit BIGGER experience and check out a Roadmaster. Oh, BTW, love your channel!

Jess, 1) It has a PowerPlus 108, not the Thunderstroke 116. That's probably why you noticed a big difference between the Chief sport mode and the Challenger sport mode. Have both a Chieftain and a Challenger. Love the Thunderstroke motor, but the PS 108 is a damn beast. 2) That port in the faring is the battery tender plug. I also use it as a 12 volt power supply.

I have three motorcycles, each could be used as a touring bike. I have a 2022 H-D Road Glide, traded in a Pan America in September of 2022, currently have 11,000 miles on it. It is my second one. My first was in 2007 (a 2008 model) and I loved it! Thought I needed to move up to an Ultra Limited when the 2017 models came out, so I traded in that Road Glide. I LOVE the Road Glide. There are few things that I wish could be improved, but I can deal with them. For most riding, this is a FANTASTIC touring bike. I would not hesitate to load it up and take off for days, weeks, or even months on the road. Going to tackle and Iron Butt? This is the bike. My second "touring" bike is a 2019 BMW R1250GS. I have no idea why you had the comment about the shaft drive reducing performance. That bike will outrun most bikes I have run across, even some of the smaller sport bikes. I does tend to be a little lacking on comfort when on the interstate for longer times. But for back roads (or even limited roads), this is the perfect choice. It can handle interstate, it is just that my butt can only handle about 10-12 hours on this before causing discomfort. My third bike is a 2017 Can-Am Spyder RT-Limited. It sits most of the time. The best past of this one is that I have no problem if the weather is going to be questionable with my wife on the back. This is supposed to be her bike, but I have put about 90% of the miles on it (any suggestions to get HER to ride the bike?) My favorite one in the bunch? To quote Dale Walksler when asked about his favorite motorcycle... "the last one I rode."

Not sure how i missed this video three months ago. I went from great quality Japanese bikes to an Indian Chief Vintage. I loved it. Loved getting more attention than any of the Harleys I was parked among at events. But I was convinced by a friend and the mystique to get a Harley. I settled on the Road King. I tried for two years to make it uniquely mine. I could never make it feel as comfortable as that Indian. So when I saw a used Chieftain in Cycle Trader I had to check it out. They showed my the beautiful bike, I sat on it and in a nano second I knew it was mine. Physically it fits me perfectly. Its not just another rubber stamped bike identical to so many others on the road. It's lower center of gravity is why it feels more nimble than my RK. I used to have a Suzuki Boulevard and got more compliments from riders and pedestrians on it and the two Indians than I ever got on the RK. I couldnt be happier and it does my heart good to see your glowing review. I'm not sure I've heard as much praise from you about the Road Glide. But like you said, you ride your ride.

i have a 21 Road Glide. I actually rode the challenger first and was going to buy it. The financing that I was offered through indian was horrible even with a down payment. i literally left there and went to the local Harley dealership. Fell in love with my RG and purchased it at a much more reasonable price and am so glad I was forced to check out Harley. I liked the Challenger and the way it handled but I LOVE my Harley. I like seeing the multiple bikes you ride. Yes I own a Harley but I enjoy a wide variety of bikes!

Shark Nation Road Glide! absolutely love it and the Shark Nose fairing!! I had a heritage Soft tail for almost 14 years. test rode the batwing and shark nose fairings. Fell in love with the look and handling of the RoadGlide. I know it's personal preference, for me it's the Road Glide with the Shark Nose fixed fairing. Keep doing what you're doing! nice work.

The challenge uses a stress member design. So the engine is as low as possible, that’s why it feels so light. Harley uses a full frame so that pushes the engine and the weight up higher.

I went from riding metric bikes as a young adult to metric cruiser bikes, in 2015 I got my first HD a RoadKing then up graded to a Road Glide in 2021. I did the switch because bigger engine (103-114) and better wind protection. I have a friend that rides Indian motorcycles and they are a great choice I think I stayed with Harley because I have a closet full of HD branded clothes.

Hi Jess, I luv your channel. I ride a 2014 Victory Vision and have a 2003 Harley Vrod both of which are not made anymore. LOL The reason why I bought both bikes is the history about how the bikes were developed and all the testing that went into building the bikes. The Vision is a great touring bike with all the bells and whistles for a very comfortable ride. The Vrod on the other hand is a just flat out fast bike which I love to take out for some shorter rides. I would love to ride the Challenger, it seems to have all the power and handling that most people would want.

I have never owned a touring style motorcycle. But I always had motorcycles setup for touring. The current motorcycle is a 09 V-Strom 650. Before that was Concourse 1000. I miss the weather protection of the Concourse. It was nearly as good as a touring motorcycle. The manufacturers like that you make these touring motorcycles look so approachable. You never seem to struggle moving them around. (Through the magic of editing, and Jordan.)

Do I like different motorcycles on your channel - Oh, yeah! It's always nice to get a different perspective or an introduction to a bike that I've never had the chance to ride. I bought a 2022 Pursuit last November because, like you, I have gravitated to baggers - but quite a few years ago before the term "bagger" was ever coined. This is my 4th bike (yeah, not a lot) and I absolutely love it. Handlebars - they make an "extended reach" bars that bring the grips about 2.5" closer. I got them because, like you, the stock bars forced me to lean forward a bit too much. Made all the difference in the world! The power port on the right side - that's to easily plug in a battery tender. It's fuse limited to about 3.5 amps so not suitable for jumping the battery should that ever be needful. I've checked with two different dealership service managers and they both recommend that a battery tender be plugged in if the bike is going to sit for more than a couple of days. According to them, the on-board computer never shuts down and is frequently (continually) phoning home looking for updates, etc. I've left the bike sit for about 7 days once and came back to a flat battery. A couple hours on a tender and I was back in business. Now I put it on the tender whenever it's garaged.

Challenger is a great bike. I test rode a limited like you are riding and loved it. I own a '15 Victory Magnum in Plasma Lime Green. It's the 2nd one i've owned...Hurricane Michael took the first one from me. I found the same exact color and year in Oklahoma City and flew out to sign the paperwork and rode it all the way back to Panama City, FL. Being a Polaris brand bike(like Indian) it has the bigger bags which i LOVE! It's a shame Polaris stopped making them. The Freedom 106 V-Twin is a stout engine.

I bought a Victory Cross Country tour after a demo day. I'm 6"4" and it fit me great and had a great ride. I also have always loved the look of the Cross Country. I test rode a GoldWing also but just love the sound of a V-Twin.

I have a Pursuit, that little plug in the right side of the dash is a battery tender plug. I believe it also works for heated gear, but I would not want a wire running over the tank like that. One weak point for Indian is the clear coat. Lots of Pursuit/challenger owners I know of are ceramic coating or getting other paint protection done. I just got to 2800 miles yesterday on my Pursuit and am leaving for a Route 66 trip today. I am loving this platform.

I had a 2011 Road glide (orange) for 5 years and never had anyone approach me. Then I got a 2021 Goldwing tour dct, and can barely stop for gas without having a conversation with strangers. I get just as many waves on the gold wing as any other bike. I love my goldwing and hope you enjoy your time with it. (I live in Indiana, rode the goldwing to Tacoma, WA and back)

I got a Persuit last summer and I don't have any regrets. They still need to fix some of the bugs in ride command but most manufactures with propriety tech have similar issues. My wife and I are about to do our first trip and it has tons of storage. I can't emphasize how nice having locking bags from a key fob are. I could talk about this bike for days

I don't have a touring bike perse but have almost made it one. I got my first bike ever back in may and went with a Vulcan 650 as it's the largest learner legal bike here and I'm a bigger guy so decided to go with something that had a little power that I could grow in to as I got more confident and comfortable and that would last me long enough to where I finally upgraded to a Goldwing or a Harley bagger. Have crash guards on it and windshield and saddlebags on the way so it should let me do small weekend getaways or rides around here or down the coast etc but was much like you with your first bike, I knew the only bike I wanted (had to be cruiser for front controls, enough power to get around traffic quickly on country roads) and just went and brought that without looking at anything else.....now though I watch your vlogs and others and keep thinking that's a cool bike, wouldn't mind owning that for almost every bike y'all are on :D

I'm better now, but my "Mike the Bike" never stood a chance. I was on my way home from work at the ambulance service I work for, and someone pulled out on me. So, now it's just me and my Yamaha!

I bought a 2021 challenger limited. I came from a 1985 gl1200 aspencade. After breaking down in several different states it was time to upgrade. I tried looking at the new goldwings, but after they reduced the storage capacity I was out. I'm a bigger guy being 6' and pushing the 300lb mark. I live around Ft. Wayne so my buddy and I went to Elkhart Indian and they let me take one out to test ride. It took me 3 months to decide what color, but I was sold on the bike. I've put the kst bars on, an Ultimate extended reach heated seat, heated grips, and the stage 1 kit. I absolutely love the bike and I have to say that Elkhart Indian is by far the best dealership I have ever dealt with. My friend lives in Columbus and drives the 3 hours to go there over the Iron Pony.

I looked at both the Road Glide and Challenger and ultimately chose the Harley for two reasons.. oddly enough if you look at the two side by side the motor on the Harley looks like a motor.. the Indian looks like a facad. Too smooth .. no ruggedness... But more importantly was the Harley "Network" ... If you are out and about you can't kick up a rock without hitting a Harley dealership. (slight exaggeration) if you catch my drift .. that was the biggest deciding factor .. I enjoy your content most of the time ha ha ... Keep it coming and Safe Riding

That giggle when you opened up the bike was priceless. lol Really glad you got the Indian to check out and ride for a while. I would love to hop a leg over one at some point. Looking forward to seeing more content with the bike. I want to see how well the bike does with loading it up for camping/long distance travel and how it performs with the extra weight. I own a 2021 Sport Glide. I chose it because it was a little less expensive than a Road Glide, weighs a little less, has a lower center of gravity (i'm only 5'2) and is a good mix between sport and touring. Still has the cruise control, fairing and bags which was HUGE for me and a MUST have when I upgraded. Honestly, I love seeing different bikes on your channel to learn more about what other brands have to offer.

@@HerTwoWheels a lot of people love mid controls. I had them on my Honda Shadow and it was comfortable. Even though i'm short, I have kind of long legs and I LOVE the forward controls! I remember when you rode the Sport Glide and then Captain Anna rode it to BRO the first year she went. I think that was the same year I bought mine!

That is a 12v power connection under the Indian logo cap on the right side of the fairing. You can plug in accessories or a battery maintainer there. Since you asked, I ride a 2023 Indian Springfield, I upgraded from a Scout in January. I just like the classic style of the Springfield, and at 6'4", it's very comfortable for me.

I have a 2021 Indian Challenger Dark Horse and I absolutely LOVE IT! What made me go with that over the Road Glide was the water cooled engine and the fact that as a 6'2" guy the Indian fit me stock. I rented a Harley Road Glide to test out and it felt like I was scrunched up on the bike. Where Indian falls behind Harley though is the dealerships. It seems like each dealership has one guy and one guy only that can actually work on the bikes, so if you need anything done you are going to be waiting a LONG time.

Hey Jess. I've got a 2017 HD Road King and the reason I got it was I just didn't need all the electronics and stereo. I use my phone for music and navigation. I do like seeing the different bikes. Mine is an older 03 yamaha v-star 1100 xvs classic and I love it. Low center of gravity and extremely comfortable. I’d have no worries about using it to go cross country. Can’t say enough good things about it and yes keep doing reviews. I can’t afford a new bike so living the new bikes vicariously thru you is great. ❤️

I walked away from the challenge because I felt it was a speeding ticket waiting to happen. From 0 to 140 just on a get on ramp to a interstate said I don’t need to fly. So I humbled back to my 2018 Roadmaster. The Cnc floor boards I have on my Roadmaster and find them to be a better feel on control of the bike foot input can help make those slight corners feel effortless and swerving when needed. The reason why I bought my Roadmaster was my wife ordered everything on it and said if you don’t buy this bike I’m gone.

Jess, I have a ‘22 Road King FLHR. After test riding everything bagger out there for over a year and a half, I kept coming back to the Road King. I wanted something that I can ride around town and on the open road. I have both. The fit and finish overall on the Road King was nicer than the others. Thanks for all the great videos.

I have a '14 Road King standard and a '17 Road glide special. I like them both for different reasons, The RGS is great for crushing miles down an interstate and the RK is more playful and handles better especially in the esses on two lane backroads and in parking lot maneuvers and such. I can definitely feel the weight of the RGS in parking lots and at slower speeds compared to the RK. The RK is not as good on the interstates (not as much wind protection above 70+MPH) but is capable for sure. I have a color matched quick release tour pack for both bikes. I have taken many trips on both and actually my wife and I trade off on these two bikes on trips just to keep from getting too sore on either on those 300+ mile days. If I could only have one it would be the RK because it is best on 80% of the roads I like to ride. My wife feels the same way.

18 Roadmaster and 16 Scout here. Love both but the Roadmaster is amazingly comfortable; both swapped out as dailies but touring obviously makes sense on the big bike! Indian is awesome with giving test rides; BMW, at least in my area, not so much. Test road the Pursuit Limited recently .. awesome - considered trading but … would rather add to the stable.

Now that is one Beautiful BIKE! Indians are so nice to handle. Indian Bikes have a very low center of gravity which sets them apart from other Bike makers. I am 75yrs old, and at 70 I sold my Harley Dynafxdc and then I got an Indian Scout 60 and I have been in heaven ever since. 5' 5" 26' inseam and I can flatfoot this Bike with no Problems. I have a 2017 Indian road master the reason I bought it was I loved the way the front fairing looked like an old 1950 train locomotive and I liked the mono shock instead of the Harley dual shocks on my 2016 street glide and Indian had a few more upgrades

This is the first I saw this video. That plug is for a battery tender and heated gear. Indian makes reduced reach bars that put the controls about two inches closer to you. That makes a big difference. I have a 21' Roadmaster that I bought new. I'm 5'7" myself. I put reduced reach bars and seat on mine. I sit more in the bike then on top of it. I also put a reduced reach kickstand on it also. The tab on the reduced reach is longer so it's easier to find the kickstand with your foot. I have about 8600 miles on it with zero issues. You have to try a Roadmaster to compare it to the Challenger.

i just bought a brand new 2022 Indian Super Chief 1800 from IndianMotorcyclesSturgis and its by far the best motorcycle i have ever owned. I had a Harley Davidson before and i owned it for a year. out of that year it was in the shop 6 times for problems and it was a non stop thing. i will never own another Harley ever again its Indian from here on out.

Riding a 1997 Goldwing SE and love it. All stock and 43K when I got it, needed tires and the cam belts just because it was 25 years old and you really can balance a nickel on the jugs running without it falling over. It's that smooth and that's what I like about it. Oh and reverse too, game changer. That Indian though.... Nice.

Ride a 19 RKS I bought new in late November 2019 because the dealer really wanted my business and it hit two things I needed: cruise control and storage. I leveraged a stage 2 and a few add ons because I knew the dealership wanted to make sales and keep their shop doing something in the winter, so basically labor for everything was near free.

I bought a road glide limited because of you. Watching you travel and how you packed on the dyna versus the glide was eye opening. I was never attracted to the big touring bikes. I would absolutely love to hear your take on a Kawasaki Vaquero. Out of all the baggers out there it is my favorite because of its complete lack of screens and modes. It's completely analogue which gives a feel of old school muscle car. The KACT 2 brake system is premium.

Love the looks of the Vaquero, probably my favorite fairing. The 1700 motor is also quite good and reliable, especially if it has been Ivanized. It is more top heavy compared to my Victory Cross Country, but no deal breaker. Besides the Goldwing, Kawasaki is the only Japanese company still making large displacement cruisers/baggers/dressers. Such a shame.

The Kawasaki Vaquero is on my list of bikes I want to upgrade to from my Vulcan S. While I would love to get an Indian Scout the lack of any Indian dealership or any shops that work on them nearby has me wary about choosing anything other than a Japanese manufacturer or a Harley.

Bought a '16 Kaw Voyager new in fall of 17. Traded for a 17 Indian Roadmaster and never looked back. In 21, I added a 20 Challenger Ltd, then in Feb 22 Indian announced the Pursuit and when I saw the White DH Icon I ordered one, eventuallytraded 2 Indians for the new Pursuit. Absolutely no regrets now having also had a Goldwing yrs back as well I feel like I have come full circle. Love the fixed fairing bikes only wish I had a reverse occasionally. 🤔

My wife and I ride Indian Roadmasters we have custom paint on both and I would never go back to any other brand and I have ridden them all. We enjoy your channel and we have a little channel just riding videos not a professional just for our friends and family to view. I absolutely LOVE my Challenger! Best bike I've ever ridden! Make sure you keep the RPMS up when you're getting on it, it REALLY likes to rev! I chose the Challenger because of the water cooling and the awesome power band! Agree that they feel very light on their feet for the mass. Curious to see what you think after a day of using CarPlay instead of having to have your phone on the bars! Also that is a SAE battery tender port on the fairing! The Challenger's tech will drain the battery if she sits without riding. You'll probably start it often enough to not worry about it but that makes it easy to plug in!

Victory Cross Country Tour, 2016. I'm 6'3", and its size and power is the main reason I chose it. Its bags are far bigger than any other bagger, and with cams + tunes, it still outruns stage 1 M8 117s.
