Hi James, thinking on your spiral mat, if you keep it in the filter it will always be ready to transfer to new filters when you have your new showroom up and running. I know you have the system to grow your own bacteria but having media rich in bacteria will give any system a great start, it's just a thought I hope you don't mind me suggesting it.

Purchased some Mountain Tree spiral Matt after watching your videos. It’s not cheap, but boy oh boy it’s working wayyy better than my Japanese Matt. Superior flow, rigidity, zero blocking but still great bio being cultivated. Really impressed with the quality! Thanks for the videos!

Hi James. I think you have an Acer in that little pot. If not Asda have some of same shape for a fiver at moment. If not can het some of nicer types online for about 20. Yoir Koi problem is like my Acer problem. My wife wont let me buy any more. 😂Keep up the good work mate.

is that my eyes or the video but when you show your grow on pond looks very green (algae) through the window at certain angles, or is it a reflection from something lol but ponds looking great James

The pond walls are a little green but the window don’t help in real life it’s fine mate it does get full sun 🌞 as well but it’s not string algae yet

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! Let your water tests be your guide, if it’s testing zero for nasties regardless of your feeding levels there is no point removing the matting! To be honest you’ve probably got enough filtration there to filter your main pond, let alone a small grow on/quarantine tank!
