I am sure that it is a surprise for a lot of you to see me driving around an old VW bus but my life has changed in so many levels lately. I will never be the same (if you feel lost please check my last vlog or subscribe to my Patreon www.patreon.com/lidiarico ) What do you think about my new/old van? I know she is a total classic van and to be honest I am in love with her. I am also glad that I found California Westys mechanic shop www.californiawestys.com so I can feel at home and taking cared of! The only constant in life is change. This year has seen me sleeping in the front seat of my truck in LaMesa, Houston, and now outside Chicago. At the end of March i move on towards the east coast for a few months. Do I like it, HELL NO, but its what i have to go through to make a better life for myself 3 months out. Its wonderful to see you back Lidia. Your bright smile is back, and the joy in your eyes melts my heart. I'm looking forward to your next adventure.

If the metal below is good, add some poured clear or amber colored epoxy to fill the gaps and smooth the surface. If unknown fill the gaps, smooth the floor and use peel & stick faux hardwood for a fresh look.

About your floor, maybe just get a carpet cut to fit, then use ut as a bottom rug so it's easy to take out and shake it outside. Then maybe have another fun rug for on top of it. Eeeeeasy!!! Keep everything "simple!" Clean, simple, very organized, and easy... then vanlife will be more fun. Remember ... everything is "okay." Because it is! Oh! In the early 90s (when I was younger, and willing to live somewhere without a bathroom!) I lived for a year in a 1968 Westfalia. She was a bit cramped (for 2 people), but she had these amazing red glitter vinyl seats (from a previous owner. I would have never chosen vinyl seats for Texas van living! But they sure were pretty and always made me feel like i was in a 50's diner!) I just loved living in that Westfalia. It's a bit small, but they are easy to work on and generally cheap. I'm very excited for your new adventures! Go, Lidia! 😄

You have all the skillz, and confidence. i bought a Vevor 45quart to travel to Florida last year, and it was so easy on my power bank. and lots of room inside. Maybe hit them up for one. Getting the bus serviced was so good, and that perfect fit storage you put in rocks. Nice to see you making friends, and takin it 1 day at a time. Always love yur creative editing, and smiles. Awesome new (old) van Lidia! I bought a '87 VW syncro last spring and have been slowly adding to it, making it mine. I have no hookups, pop top, or the westfalia kitchen though. I definitely need some cabinets for more storage. There's a cool little attachment some guy invented, he takes the inner headboard on the rear hatch off and replaces it with a few zippable pouches for storage. It's called the vangaroo.
