The "Diva" plant you have. The Pinstripe Calathea requires shade and high humidity. The area you have it in its getting direct sunlight so it will roll the leaves up esp on a bright day. If it doesnt get enough humidity the leaves will also brown. If you over water it the tips/edges of the leaves will yellow. I suggest moving it into a shady less sun lit area of your absolutely stunning apartment!

It also kinda goes to sleep at night which makes the leafes fold up and when it wakes up the leafes open up again. I was so confused when I had this plant. It was quite a diva coz she died after a month

Hey Natacha! The plant that you're having trouble with is a calathea and actually prefers shady areas! It is also called a prayer plant as the leaves become more vertical (move/fold upwards) at night and return to their open position during the day in relation to the light

I remember when the Architects SOM first released the details for this building. Typically those asking in the comments, the buildings is called Manhattan Loft Apartments in Stratford, London. The price you pay for living in a building by a famous architect I guess! When I first saw it the price for this flat it was ranging from around £800,000 - 1.2Mil, which for London is pretty cheap but the prices are lower towards the end of Zone 2. Good investment though as these areas are starting to boom! It's a pretty common area for KZbinrs to live, for example, the majority of the Sidemen etc. Love the Video though, really nice to see inside it on a personal level! Thanks

Hey Natacha :) I love that youtube recommended this to me! Your new apartment is absolutely STUNNING! Where in London is it?! So quick thing about your diva plant... She's a type of Calathea. Calathea's like indirect or low light, so can get burnt if left next to a window. Calathea's are unique because they close their leaves at night and open them again in the morning, according to the sun! Sometimes you can hear a rustling sound with this too :) It's what makes them so special! They really love being misted and having the soil eeeever so slightly damp, but not wet. The reason she's probably being temperamental with you is because she's currently getting loads of light next to that window and she won't like that- she's not a sunshine loving plant and it will burn her leaves and confuse her internal clock so to speak. Solution- Move her to a shady / indirect light spot and she'll love you for it. I hope that helps :) P.S. I'm happy for you, you seem to love your new space so much, and it really suits you! I hope you have magical years in it xxx

Hey Alexis! Yep you’re so right, it was a huge decision for him and something he didn’t do lightly given that he’d spent so many years dedicated to reaching that level. We spoke about it for a long time but he knew his heart was in starting businesses and BCG said they would always have him back so I think that made the difference! Do you work in management consulting too? 🤗

Hi Natacha - I absolutely love this apartment! It is so my aesthetic and I can tell has the vibe that I would love (I am currently flat hunting). Our homes are an extension of ourselves, as we grow so does our home environment. Take your time making all the small changes or additions that you want to, you will feel when it is complete. @@natachaoceane have you tried a weighted blanket? They are meant to be good for sleep issues. You can get ones which are plain bamboo fabric with the glass beads in, so super soft and not thick and sweaty, could just throw over your linen when you go to bed.

Omg ur apartment is amazing. Such character and I love the white, bright open space. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom door and those white beams and concrete slab like walls are stunning cause uve furnished it so well. The photos u took and framed look fantastic and the plants add the right amt of colour. Love the bench idea instead of the chairs. U have amazing style and taste. I've seen lots of apartments that have those cement walls but when there isn't enough light and the furnishing isn't right it makes the room cold and very factory like. Uve done such a great job. Very lovely, also a fan of white. Big WOW factor! On the inside of your kitchen cabinet doors, you could add a pretty print or abstract vinyl, or add script, a joke or inspirational quote. It would be a nice little surprise every time you open the door, and since it's just straight square cuts, wouldn't be nearly as hard to do as the exterior. Design tip: open plan spaces can easily come across as cold. Putting a carpet under an area or a light fixture above an area are great ways to devide separate areas from each other within an open plan area. This makes the room feel less clinical and more homely. By simply putting a good size carpet under your dining area you'll create that a lovely homely atmosphere I'm talking about (right size: make sure the chairs' feet are still on the carpet when getting up from the table). Love the apartment and your style and your channel and you! xoxo

I'd recommend getting a big rug, or a bunch of smaller ones. It'll brighten the space and also dampen a lot of the echoing you both have!
