glad you pointed out about cranking them up. I got the t8vs, and that was the only thing. I also seen other stuff in pro mixes, and I heard a muddy snare in one. If I had my krk monitors I wouldn't have noticed.

do you still have them? is the woofer’s size really 8 inch? (cone and surround area)

I have T7Vs at the moment and want some slightly higher end speakers, would these be worth the upgrade??

I wouldn’t be able to compare but I would imagine if you like the t7v that the bass definition might be worth it for you. I I would think the rest would pretty much be the same

If you want to hear them and in comparison to other Speakers, just have a look at this channel "Digital Stereophony" for example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKGof4Zte92Nqc0 They are really nice. Remember this is YT so soundquality isnt the best, but it gives a nice first impression, if you cant get to hear them in RL. :) (Use good Headphones if you can, to get the most out of it)

Not to hijack your review & please keep up the amazing work you do, but here is a link to a review Audioholics did on these monitors & three other monitors. This is for those that are shopping for monitors & would like to see how these monitors measure w/ some caveats found by Audioholics as well. Gene, Matt, & James can come across as little dry at first, but they give some really good insight into speakers as a whole from a scientific perspective. They do call companies out for their good, bad, & decent works alike, in an attempt to be unbiased & objective.
