Phoebe I am so happy to hear you are a handy girl. Me too! I build a picket fence, I've plastered walls, installed a kitchen. There is nothing we can't do. I mean men can do it so it can't be hard😂. What an amazing range of fabrics. Is there any chance you'll be getting, I think it's called waxed canvas for bag making? I think it looks amazing. It's lovely to catch up with you both again. Such gorgeous fabrics and I have always been so interested in them. Kristen that fabric with the gold and the orange and the black background that you're wearing in a top is so gorgeous you should wear those colors all the time... Wait, I think you already do.

I also find besides the wonderful prints, the actual cloth is perfect in the heat, it’s a bit stiff, but very light in weight. Delightful to wear.

Just beautiful fabrics I've not only made garments with such gorgeous fabrics ive also stapled them on a canvas board as a room abstract art on the wall they look great and bright up a room wonderfully, as a previous employee from bargain box fabrics I saw some funky and gorgeous fabrics come through

I love ankara and vitenge from East Africa too. I live in Australia. I'm not African but my husband and family are. They love it when I wear the prints. And for sewists, pattern placement with vitenge is a fun challenge. Go for it! PS definitely wash the fabric separately for a while in case of colour run.

These fabrics are so beautiful and the colours gorgeous and vibrant. I love colour and such a great comment that if you make clothes to suit your personal choices go for colours that you love as well. I’m 66 and l predominantly wear colour. Check out the women from the Advanced Style aesthetic if you are afraid of colour many into their 90s. Such fun! Tool bags not just for blokes indeed Phoebe😂😂

I love what you're wearing and the pattern suggestions. I've been wanting to sew Ankara for a long while but can never decide what to make with it! I just got the Matchy Matchy Makers overshirt/jacket pattern, maybe I'll try that!

Actually these wax Prince are beautiful in the same way and in the same family as the artwork that I've seen from the indigenous population in australia. Are any fabrics being made that are inspired by some of those

Please be carefull when ironing off the label or just generally the fabric burns very very easily. You also need to. Point out the washed fabric is very different to what it feels like when purchased.

@@melanieknight8179 hi Melanie, I have ironed off the labels as per the supplier recommendation and all came off perfectly. Reverse side, cool iron. They wash and iron beautifully, they do soften after washing as we've explained. I've done so with both of my makes ❤️ they are so lovely to wear.

@@sew_So_beautiful haha 24 when I had Phoebe. She's 27 now and thinks I was insane having kids that young. That's just what everyone did back then though. I remember my nanna and mum being 20 years apart and she was a grandmother in her 40s! Thanks 🙏
