My New Minivan Tour! | 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring-L

Just a basic look inside my new van and some of my favorite features!
One thing I forgot to mention is that we cut a 6ft christmas tree this year and put the 3rd row down and it fit in the van with no need to try to strap it up top!

Navigation can be added with a simple purchase of the software at the Chrysler website, then it’s activated on your Pacifica.

You did a great job showing the features on your Pacifica. I'm currently driving a Grand Caravan and am considering buying a Pacifica, one of the FIRST things I noticed and was hyped up about was the power rear windows! For as long as I can remember when you sat anywhere but the front, aside from the ray of hope given by the rear windows, you had no connection to outside until the side doors slid open again.

I driving the Touring all week- Its very nice, ROOMY and thoughtfully laid out! Great MPG too! The dash board is VERY star trek like in a great way-meaning the LATEST generation! The KEY is AWESOME to look at- although, you really dont need it!

My wife currently has a 2005 Town and Country and will be hopefully moving into one of these in the next week or two. I will point out the the key icon you mentioned is a power outlet. Some covers have a key, some have a battery. It just indicates if that outlet works all the time (battery) or only when the vehicle is running (key).

I currently drive a 2017 Odyssey. I once drove a Sienna for 2 weeks on vacation and LOVED it. I also rented a Kia Sedona, which I REALLY liked, too. Almost as much as the Sienna. I'm really interested in this Pacifica. I like that it matches the Honda on fuel economy, but I still lack the confidence as far as reliability when it comes to the Pacifica.

Mine will be 2 years old in November. Weve had no issues so far except on hiccup in the beginning with a bad factory part. They replaced it fast. My only regret is not getting the model with the built in vacuum LOL! I was concerned as because it was a new model. We drove every minivan on the market and 3 room in the 3rd row is what sold me. No other Van's offered as much leg room and comfort. That really sold me since family often rides with us.

@@kings17court Chrysler has MADE a TRUE forward step (following toyota in my opinion ) on reliability starting from 2016 on:) especially with their VANS! While I REALLY like TOYOTA as the NUMBER one reliability top ten this year out of ten five were toyotas:) Unfortunately, chrysler did not make the top ten, but nethier did mercedes, bmw rolls royce, lamborghini, tesla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If buying used try and buy it under the factory warranty period (its online) typically 60,000 powertrain etc........just in case. Chrysler spent 2.5 billion dollars developing this van, so I am sure its not going to be garbage at all.........I like its look, technology and flexible under floor seating fold away methods in rear! Still, I was surprised on rialibility TOYOTA nailed it five out of ten on reliability were TOYOTAS, and mazda miata came in number two...LOL:)

@@juan_urbina its been a pretty good car to me. Shes has some repairs here and there all warranty covered or extended warranty coverage. Newer cars tend to need more repairs my best friends Chevy is same year hers is a MESS! I'm still happy with my van, I've put some miles on her too with roadtrips more than average people do.

The straps are for the "Stow and Go" convenience of stowing away the 3rd row seat in the back of your van.

you have two standard key fobs, and one key sense key fob. That third key fob is wonderful to have if you have teen drivers or future drivers as you explained The first two key fobs are just normal key fobs.

Great video review. Heads up, the plug with the Key on it is for a 12V jack that is controlled by the ignition. The straps on the back are probably to manually release the seats and stow them.

I love this. I'm considering the pacifica but was worried about the carseats sitting in the middle. Right now, family tries to get into our sienna 2004 and it's such a hassle with the carseats so this is a total plus.

Our Pacifica is too low to the ground. In 6 months of ownership, we had to repair/replace 2 bumpers and these computerized air shutters that break off when you scrape the front bumper. Cost us over $2000.00 to fix both times. This last time the shutter thing rubbed through the air conditioning condensor-we have no air conditioning. Don't buy if you live in a hilly area! Or get a lift kit for it!

oh wow that suck, I had one issue with how low it is.... I still think its the shopping centers fault. When I turned the corner at the dunkin donuts drive through they had a random curb jetting out you can't see til its too late. scratched up my low back panel pretty bad. That curb was covered in paint too, I think a taller suv would have been okay but anything low was screwed.

The advanced safety tech found on the Touring L Plus and Limited as options can auto brake the van. Not found on the Touring L or down. Worth the price up for the Touring L Plus.

Mohammed Khan they are accurate for past models and vehicles. this is a new model so there is no history on this. that said, I have notice a few lack of details like clear coat imperfections are the panel ends, and other tiny things that were slightly misaligned like a rubber seal. I'm coming from a Mazda CX-9 where everything was done with care. that said, still my number one choice and I have no buyers remorse.

Based on multiple reviews (and this video!) I made the leap from Prius to their hybrid Pacifica 2 days ago. So far, I am SUPER impressed. Everything feels really well made and put together. And, like all vans, the storage and compartments galore are warming this soccer mom's heart. :D

Wonderful video. I have a comment and two questions. First your acknowledgement of the size of the third row seats. I'll assume you came from an SUV because all of them have poor third row seat room. Chrysler has had spacious third row seats since they offered the extended van in the 80s. Honda and Toyota have always had spacious third row seats (except for the original Odyssey which ended in 1998). When you go from an SUV to a minivan, you're gaining all of the room that the rear differential and drive axles used up in the SUV. OK, now the questions. Can you text while you drive or is that function defeated when the van is in motion? Has Chrysler done away with CDs or is a CD player an option? Thanks again for the great video and one more thing. +Frank Howard I unfortunately didn't have a 3rd row in my escape but yes you lose a lot in an SUV. We test drove all the minivans on the market before this purchase and did a stroller test. We found the Pacifica had the largest roomiest 3rd row by far. In the other minivans my stroller did not fit as well. Dodge was the worst. My family and friends all have minivans so I have rode in the back of a lot of them. No CD players anymore but there is a media package I'm not sure if that includes it. With the satellite radio they have the favorite song and artist tags so I am finding I don't miss my CDs too much because I have so many favorite songs and artist tagged it's wonderful. I can text in motion.... The car does it for me I just speak, it also reads my texts out loud for my so my eyes don't leave the road.

Your comment about the third seat room in the Dodge got me searching the internet for some sort of comparison and the best one I found was: www.thecarconnection.com/car-compare-results/chrysler_pacifica_2017-vs-dodge_grand-caravan_2016 An extra 4" of leg room is significant. I don't know how they did it as both vans are about the same length overall.

and you can use ALL tethers. The third row is center and passenger side, but you can place the seat in the drivers side and use the center tether. Manual even shows the picture and explains.

Hi! Can you do an updated video on your experience with this car? Have you had any issues with it stalling /shutting off while driving, bubbles in the paint or random jerking that feels like you were rear-ended? Just what I’ve read but would love to hear of any pros and cons since this was posted over a year ago :)

Lulu Lush I havent had any of those issues with it at all. I had an issue with the door a few months ago the chain thing broke it was like a freak thing. The door still worked manually so we closed it and took it right over they gave me a rental van and fixed it under warranty. A friend of mine said the same thing happened to her odyssey so guess it's a possibility with sliding doors.

I do still own it and it's paid off still love it. Around 80k miles I had issues with a noise they can't identify but it hasn't effected the cars performance if that makes sense. I have no plans to get a new car. Gonna drive this baby til the wheels fall off lol! I even paid to and GPS to the unconnect finally.

OfficialMichellemarie 26 yes some models do. I regret not getting it now lol I honestly thought OMG just use a normal vacuum I'm not paying for that. Now my sons a toddler and I am like DANG IT I should've gotten the vacuum. I've been a nanny and I've always just vacuumed my car but it was when I was younger and hadn't developed fibromyalgia. It's my only regret with my van.

We haven't had any big issue. Our sliding door track chain broke at one point and they fixed immediately under warranty and gave me a van to use while it was being fixed. That probably wasnt exclusive to Chrysler. 2 of my friends other brand Van's have has it happen at some point. I'm still happy with it!

Yes I do! I got lucky I know they have a bad wrap, I got a good year model. I've recently had it in the shop more however given the miles I've put on it I'd say it's normal. Every never car is trash compared to older cars they shove too much technology in and constantly changing things causes more issues. I know someone who just bought the 2021 hybrid version of my van and the transmission took a shit in first 2 weeks. It's wild. I got lucky. I would buy used if possible on these my year is the 2nd best version I think 2019 was the 1st best with no issues but definitely research!
