Thanks so much for the kind comment. I have a lot of antiques in my house so stark white would never work for me. I was inspired by Lori Holt but had to rethink to make it a little more fitting for our home.

Wow, Jo it’s beautiful. I love all your repurposed things. My whole sewing room has no new furniture either. Some of my friends thought it was crazy not to buy new. But I would take a dozen rooms like your before I would have one with everything new. Your room has so much character it is wonderful. It was a while coming but so worth the wait. I spent many years sewing on my dining room table. When we bought the foreclosure house and put an addition on it, my husband insisted I have a nice sewing room...and I got it!!

Yes I am! For years and years the dining room table was my place to sew. It was a struggle. When we remodeled the foreclosure house we bought, my husband insisted on a large sewing room for me! He was a great guy.

There's a door in the sewing room that will eventually lead to a deck on the upstairs so we used a fancy lift to lift the upstairs furniture and the long arm up through the door when we moved in 2014.

What a great room!!! I think Rosie is in love with the camera. My two kids would run the other way even though like Rosie they have to be around me, they're just camera shy. I would love to have a room that big and a large closet! My largest closet is 3 feet wide and only the depth of a coat hanger. How do you like your Millie? I'm in the process of looking at long arms. You have such great vintage fines. My big island is a combination of drawers from a water bed stacked on top of each other on wheels with the big top.

I love my Milly. I've not had any problems with it at all and I'm getting close to having her for 10 years. We put an addition on our house and the sewing room was added then.

Oh I love how your sewing room turned out. A lot of work and planning went into that space, you can tell. I'm so happy for you. Nothing better than being organized in your hobby area.
