Even with AC the fans are beneficial. The fans will help with airflow to aid the function of the ac in a large area like your shop. They can also help to cycle vapors from fumes, ie paint, cleaners, oils and fuel vapors which will aid in their dispersion and dissipation. Just a bit of helpful guidance.

Neutral colors for the high end vibe. This brings the attention to the cars (especially Barbie lol) Marble epoxy with grey walls and a white wainscoting. For the industrial vibe; lots of angles, textures, and raw materials. Such as: square metal tubing on a coffee table or chair and live edge wood furniture. For the Cyberpunk vibe you could do a couple neon signs. lots of blues, pinks,and purples. A neo-victorian cyberpunk would go well with the industrial vibe. This is just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

A cool shop you could look at for inspiration is the AMMO NYC studio, it’s got some of the loft vibes you’re after, but also has loads of cool details, lighting and wall murals which might give you some ideas of what you could do with the place!

For lights check out: Keystone High Bay Fixtures. Welker farms just up graded the lights in their shop and it is damn near as bright inside the shop as it is outside on a sunny day. I would say stay away from dark floor coatings simple because a lighter color will help keep the shop brighter and dark colored hardware won't get lost as easily.

If you want a more industrial look and feel, the ceiling has to go. It is also causing echo issues in the audio. Then once the ceiling is opened up, make sure the rook is insulated. Use drop LED fixtures for lighting, and then use a couple RGB LED's to shin into the open ceiling area. Another benefit to opening the ceiling up is you may be able to raise the over all height for taller lift. You are short, but a taller lift like would help not limit future projects. As for the floors. Once the concrete it fixed darker colors fit the more industrial feel, but the black marble look isn't the best route due to spills of liquids will be harder to see. That is why more dealership and shops have lighter colored floors so that any fluids that get spilled are easily seen and cleaned up.

Very nice shop Colette! About the concrete floor. In Europe there are companies who inject resin under high pressure, to lift up the floor to the right Hight. After the resin has hardened out, the floor will be okay for ever. But it's quit expensive. Regards, Nico.

That building seems like it do with a Barbie Z makeover. Neon yellow roof. Pink trim around (do a black on the bottom edge of the trim for higher contrast) then do the full building in white. Then you could get a big "House of Prix" neon sign across the front of the roof!

Yes they can float the concrete from the bottom with high pressure foam or concrete injection it’s expensive but it’s a good long term fix for settling problems especially in places were you are loading the underlining structure with pressure from flat storing cars or lifts
@dustinp6283 жыл бұрын
You need one of the double lifts in your shop for cars you are not working on. I would also suggest adding a glass block window or two. Just for natural light purposes. Exhaust fan if it doesnt have one yet.

In floor lighting under the lift would be awesome. I have always wanted that under my lift when working on cars
@BigCool953 жыл бұрын
you can totally get recessed lighting, i just installed them in my garage at home, they sit "flush" with the ceiling. there is a little lip, but they look awesome and are super bright i just forget what brand they are. if you pump up the floor i would be cautious about putting a lift on it, although i doubt you'd be putting a lift in that corner. also id avoid the black marble floor, it will probably make it a pain in the ass to find small screws or clips you drop on the ground. cant wait to see it, keep up the good work!

Than a loft and the main shop where you would work on your cars in the back left corner at a angle to make it easy to get a car back there and take it out. Maybe 1 or 2 lifts directly to the right so you can store cars and save space. Probably will not see it but I think it is a good use of space and you get everything you want. A fun corner. A work corner. Than some extra car storage without taking a lot of space up
