This may be the best budget overlanding setup I have ever seen. I appreciate the fact that it's a big open space that you can customize, instead of having pre-installed stuff you may not need/use. Also, kudos on owning a 2-door pickup with a normal sized bed. This camper would be MUCH worse on a crew cab short bed truck.

@Becca Y Hey girl, I saw a KZbin video on Project M, and this guy mounted his fishing poles to the INSIDE roof with simple velcro straps! It's a cool idea for easy access to an already locked camper. We drove one of those up to Canada and down two hours of logging roads with no a/c and a bench seat with a stick shift. I volunteered to sit in the middle. We had to pull over many times to let semi trucks fully loaded go down the dirt road. We only lost one running board on the truck but we had single digit mileage the whole way. My parents ended up getting a pull behind camper after that summer.

You should have gotten it with a window at the cab, that opens. It can give you air without having the other windows open when you are in a sketchy area. And replaced the cab window that opens,vso you can crawl through if needed if someone is a threat. That's what I want to do.
