Aww guys I hope you're both much better now! ❤ The lights went out on my Xmas tree 2 days before Christmas and I said to my sister 'that's an omen,' and yep, I spent all of Christmas in bed with a horrendous cold, then had a flare up of my migraines all new year. Happy New Year!! Luke, most of the older tri-pod tables like the one you have repaired had a metal plate that fit over the bottom of the pedestal and little extensions of the plate would have held a screw for each leg. This adds support to the legs in addition to the dowels. If you know someone that can cut some scrap metal they can easily make this part for you. I hope it works out and that you feel better soon.

I am so sorry you have been so ill on New Year’s Eve. What a pain for it to happen then when you had all your friends coming over. But at least they could carry on downstairs at least you didn’t have it when you were with your families for Christmas Day . So sorry you were sick! It hit us Dec. 23rd, also “out of the blue” within minutes of the first signs of discomfort. A VICIOUS strain. I’m 64 and I haven’t been that sick in decades! Then my Son got it Christmas Day… so much for “Christmas 2024”, lol. It’s a global virus; I’m commenting from Toronto 🇨🇦 Canada. Maybe wear masks at the Airport and on the plane to New York? It is going around Luke. I have been really ill with a kind of Flu virus for over two weeks. It is awful, all I do is sleep! Missed my little ones opening their presents on Christmas Day, hubby and daughter in law cooked the Christmas meal. My daughter had it for over a month. Still now in recovery. I lost some weight though, always that upside. All the prep I did and I missed most of it! Still, they had a good time. Hope you feel much better soon love. 😀👍💙💜. Hi Luke, Zara and Maggie. I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had norovirus it’s a horrible bug I’ve had it a few years ago and it wipes you out. Look after yourselves and give your selves plenty of rest to let your body recover. As you said at least it’s not came when you’re going to NY. It was such a lovely video and you looked so excited to be hosting your friends but at least they still came and hopefully they didn’t catch it. Your home is beautiful and love your new lamp and new table. We move house on Saturday and I’m trying to stop stressing as I don’t want to get ill but it’s really hard but watching you and other you tubers keeps me calm. I’ve had norovirus once, a long time ago. It is miserable! Sometimes when I am dealing with a lot of stress, it seems like I can’t fend off the viruses that are constantly trying to attack and I end up getting sick. There’s a lot of illness making the rounds now so unless we stay in our homes all the time, we are bound to catch something. You young people are lucky, you recover much faster than us old folks! Take care, I love seeing the both of you, you brighten my day.

I genuinely feel your pain. I tested positive for Covid on New Year’s Day. We had a friend over for NYE, so worried I had infected him, his wife, my mum the day before, an entire cast and crew of my Am Dram group and of course my husband. My Mum was from London and we had loads of relatives there but now they have either passed away or moved away from London, every year we went to London for a week sometimes 2. I remember visiting lots of places there, The Cutty Sark I loved but someone told me it's not there no more. As well as Greenwich we visited Lewisham, Catford and Woolwich. Xxx

Happy New Year Luke, Zara and Maggie; Americans don't get the dry British witt (I am Canadian and have a British Grandpa so I love it). Zara is following my guide to entertaining. It's so funny to see maggie looking thru the groceries; my kitties are exactly the same. Zara is so petite; love the new jacket because I just picked up one, too. You were dressed like a Canadian in the park, with shorts and a toque. I'd love to see the Greenwich highlights reel; I love those types of vlogs. I'm so sorry you got sick for new year's eve. This Christmas I fell off a ladder while changing a ceiling lamp and twisted my right foot and hurt my left knee, so I need crutches to walk😅. This happened before new years eve, so I can say I haven't started this new year on the right foot 😂😂. Having in mind you trip to the big apple, better to have been sick now so you will be recovered by then. Take care and have a lovely recovery weekend.

happy new year i spend new years eve in bed being sick myself... got up for midnight well staggered more, like held a glass off fizzy, didnt drink it and went back to bed slept all day on the 1st... still feeling crappy... sooo its all up from here :)
