First time pregnant here and baby is due in the end of December, and as I was in my deep dive of "What do I need?!" search and going down a rabbit hole of things and Equipments, you give out this video. It can be so overwhelming of all of the things that are out there, so knowing that you actually love and will also use these products again is such a comfort and I always know that I can trust your recommends, so thank you for this video.

I’m 64 and never had a baby but I really enjoy watching these videos. It just confirms to me that I am so glad that I’ve never had to go through all the pain of contractions, childbirth, sleepless nights, the snot, poo, puke, and the dreaded cracked nipples lol. I’m sure it’s worth it though…maybe 🤣

This is such a small but important thing - thank you so much for using inclusive language when talking about pregnancy. Again, something subtle that maybe others wouldn’t notice (maybe even Zoe didn’t it’s just really easy when you get into the habit!) but it really does make a difference. I’m not pregnant and don’t know if I want children, but I always find these so interesting. Just thought I’d leave a comment, even if it wasn’t intentional 🤍

Just a little tip when you begin to use formula milk for night time! Have a container which has different compartments ready with the powder and add your hot water to a flask! By the middle of the night the water is perfect temp and so easy!

Currently watching the vlog while feeding my three month old. Sleep and breastfeeding were two things I didn’t read up on too much before the baby came and oh my gosh do I wish I had. I had sore nipples for 12 weeks. It’s been hard. And although my son sleeps fine at night, the naps during the day are a struggle! So yeah, totally agree with everything Zoe said!

It's so nice to have suggestions from a Mum. I also breastfed my children and had an issue with sore nipples. I used rubber nipple sheiks when feeding and it helped them to heal. You can also put a healing cream on them. Wishing you all the best with your second baby❤

Oh my goodness that is the best advice and something I will definitely be telling other pregnant friends, talking to a sleep consultant or coach before baby comes!! Genius! My 4 month old is finally gettting better sleep but it’s taken this long because I had no idea how different baby sleep is, so I found a sleep coach to help me and it’s been a crazy improvement in just a few days. Such a good idea!

Watched your vlogs for over 10 years now and saw Ottilie enjoying the baby einstein star as a baby so saved it on my Amazon account and got it for baby #3 born last Autumn for Christmas. Not something I’d seen for my 1st 2 babies. And it’s still now her favourite toy and my go to if she’s unsettled when we’re out and about and she’s almost 1. So thankful you shared about it when Ottie was a baby!

I had those black and white owls in my basket this morning, so this was the confirmation I needed to purchase them 😅! I wasnt sure what noise they made until until you showed them so thank you! Looking for anything to keep my 10 week old entertained in the Tripp Trapp chair while we eat dinner 😅! Also, I second the Elvie and the silver nipple shields…absolute LIFE SAVER as you establish breast feeding. I think the sleep consultant would be amazing but I just think that might be out of budget. He sleeps great at night but napping is a task. Thank you so much for this video! I’d love to hear more about your 4th trimester and how you coped in the newborn days! X

I definitely used a lot of the same items with my newborn! Instead of a box next to the bed, I used a three-tier cart to organize all my postpartum essentials - SO helpful! Had 3 around the house! LOVING Vlogust, it’s what I watch during late night/early morning feedings! Would love to hear about your breastfeeding journey 💕

Tip for anyone expecting babies: If you use zip-up outfits for babies, hold your finger on the inside of the zipper as you zip it up. This prevents the wiggly baby's soft skin from getting snagged by the zipper. Yes. That can happen! So just guide up the zipper with your finger behind it and you're golden. LOVED zips when my babies were little!

For cracked nipples, I swear by the Earth Mama Nipple Balm! You just have to apply it after every pump session/feeding and be super generous with it! It also helps to keep your nipples clean (make sure to get the dried milk gunk out) to ensure that your nipples soak in the balm. I also like the Lansinoh Soothie Gel Pads too!

A few in my uni. class have ADHD, and they tend to listen to white noise while studying (for focus). At first it bothered me but it was obivously better than chatter interrupting during the group assignments. These days I barely hear it. When I first heard of white noise being used for studying, I thought it was only to sooth babies.

Isn't it funny how many gadgets are available for having a baby but back in the day when I was born I slept in a bottom drawer no baby monitors or sterilisers no cameras or disposable nappies if a dummy was dropped on the floor it would be stuck in the parents mouth to clean then back in the babies mouth breast feeding was out and bottle feeding was fashionable it's incredible how times have changed in 50 odd years I know that I would buy or do anything to have reassurance as a parent and a healthy happy baby and some of these gadgets would've been so useful when I had my daughters 20 off years ago such an interesting video to watch!
