I began using Tretinoin a year ago this month, and I’ll never go back. I’ll always have Tret in my routine. I’ve been using Good Molecules AHA/BHA glycolic toner, The Ordinary Lactic acid, TO Salicylic acid in Squalene, and TO Argiriline solution….all of them every night, and this routine has dramatically reduced, almost cleared my severe hyperpigmentation on my cheeks! I will always use this regimen

i don't know if it's the camera or the lighting, but i've never thought of your skin as red. it looks more like hyperpigmentation on your lower face, like an orange/tan undertone.
@SincerelyMissAsh Жыл бұрын
I think the lighting is making my skin appear more "tanned" but I do have some hyperpigmentation on my chin no doubt with a bit of redness.

Your skin is so radiant and beautiful without makeup. I do struggle with a little rosecea and I've seen finacea on my local drugstores websites. I'm planning to get a prescription of it so I can finally get results for my redness. Thank you very much for sharing your evening skincare routine. It helped me on my choice. 😁😁😁

Hi Miss Ash, I am so glad I found a great Canadian channel. I am 46 and have never used a prescription retinol cream. I am so scared it is going to make my skin feel and look worse but I am not happy with my creapy eyelids and forehead lines. Can you help me navigate this process. Do I just go to my family doctor and ask for a prescription?

I am considering to buy but cannot make the choice if it is worth it specifically for skin elasticity purposes. Or maybe you can just reply and let me know here ;) greetings!

Have you tried the "sandwich" technique with Tretinoin or Retinol? You apply Moisturizer first then Tretinoin or Retinol then Moisturizer on top? I find this helped a lot when I first started using Tretinoin a few years back.

Hi I just want to ask why are you are not using Obagi Nu Derm Blend Fx with your Tretinoin anymore? Is azelaic acid better than the Obagi blender fx? Tnx!
@SincerelyMissAsh Жыл бұрын
Hi there! I wanted to take a break from it and try other things and I found the Azelaic Acid is more effective to reduce redness and I also find it helps to prevent breakouts which is what I need since I am breakout prone.

Do you think LRP Cicaplast is not clogging your pores? I apply moisturizer over wet face and then apply Tretinoin. I would love to use it since is OTC and reachable price. Thank you.
@SincerelyMissAsh Жыл бұрын
I don't believe the LRP is clogging my pores no. The Baume B5 tolerates well on my skin and I love how moisturizing and repairing it is.
@SirSerents Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video !! I have been waiting for it! The Amino acids+B5 is so good Have you ever try Stratia liquid gold? I use it every day and I love it (loaded with ceramides+niacinamide+fatty acids) Would you say that the difference between 0.025% to 0.05% is noticeable? I'm using 0.05% 3 times a week (week 5) and I feel it dry my skin quite a bit (I do pair it with azelaic acid 20% tho, no prescription for it in AU). I'm thinking about moving to 0.025%
@SincerelyMissAsh Жыл бұрын
Thanks!! No, I haven't tried Stratia before but will def looking into it! I did notice that my skin is more clear with less breakouts with the 0.05% and also my skin overall looks more improved so I believe there is a difference between the two strengths but of course we are all different. How was your skin before using Azelac Acid with Tretinoin? This might be why your skin is more dry as I find this pairing is causing more dryness around my mouth/chin. Also, you have only been using Tretinoin for 5 weeks so dryness is quite normal especially when you are new to it. As long as you are not experiencing a lot of sensitivies/irritation I would continue with that strength but that's just me 😉 You may need to play around to see what pairing works best with Tret to find that sweet spot🤗
@SirSerents Жыл бұрын
@@SincerelyMissAsh For my liking Stratia is mi fav, I do use a more occlusive one at night though. Sure, I have compare your vids from years ago, and you can definitely tell the difference . Not sure if it only because of the tretinoin (moving from 0.025 to 0.05) or maybe consistency through all this years, but, your skin is glowing. My skin was pretty ok before, but I was using retinol 1% + Azelaic acid 15% for about 4 months, I assumed it was too mild, thus I moved to tretinoin 0.05% and Azelaic acid 20%. I don't really suffer from any major situations in my face, except some hyperpigmentation under my eyes, the dermatologist says it's because I didn't use sunscreen when young, so now that I'm on my way to 40s it shows. But, same as you. Time to time 😊

Good morning! Great video. I use the same strength Tretinoin 0.05. In sask I pay 20$ for a tube. I recently ask my doctor for a .1 % prescription. When I went to pick it up it was a gel product in a pump bottle and was 90$!! I left with out it! The pharmacist said that was the only form it was available in. So if any of your Canadian followers get it in the cream form in a tube please comment! So for now I will stick with the .05%!
@SincerelyMissAsh Жыл бұрын
Thank you!! My mom has the 0.1% gel and has been trying to find the cream version but my aunt was able to get a cream 0.1%. I think it depends on the pharmacy or who is prescribing it. Pricing might be different is Sask then here in Ontario. I am not sure how much it is here for the .1% but perhaps it might be more than the 0.05%.
@ellanderson5171 Жыл бұрын
@@SincerelyMissAsh Thank you for the information, I am going to check with a couple other pharmacies here and if I can't find it in a cream I might try a in saskatoon as there are other stores I don't have access to, as much as I would like to try the .1% it's not worth 90$ to me! As so many studies show the strength isn't as important as compliance!

Yay! Love hearing that... The transition was pretty easy for me. I started off slow just incase as the strength is stronger but surprisingly my skin tolerated well and now I am using it 5-6 nights a week👍🏻

@@SincerelyMissAsh Thanks! I have been using my 0.025 easily 6 nights a wk for almost a yr now and see my derm next month for IPL so I know it’s a convo we’ll have based on the timeline convo we had a yr ago. I’ve been stalling bc I didn’t think it could really kick up my results. Haha. If it can, it’s worth trying since I’m even using 0.025 with 10% glycolic one night a wk - which I wouldn’t try anytime soon with the 0.05. Lol
